I'm somewhat sad that I can't recommend this. Cat x11 is an incremental game that does a lot right, but way more wrong in my opinion. The basic "combat" / material gathering is well done and feels really satisfying, but the other parts just don't hold up. The upgrade tree doesn't feel that balanced. You will get upgrades for a few coins that have a high return on investment and basically print money, and then you have upgrades that cost like a thousand coins and do basically nothing. The game has a skin and crate system, where you can use the code from other players to get new skins. But... Why? The implementation doesn't really do anything for the player! Either you enter 50 different codes and get a few skins that are basically useless to you, or you don't and just open the three free chests that you get and maybe get something in those. The concept is flawed and in my opinion the biggest problem is that it exists at all. And my biggest gripe with the game: It's repetitive like nothing else I've played. I mean, sure: When you play these mini incremental games you have a lot of "runs" that are roughly the same every time. But with Cat x11 you play through the skill tree once where the currency is coins. After that you prestige and now the currency is both coins and bread. The skilltree is slightly different, but only really the order of unlocking certain upgrades has changed. And after you prestige again, you have basically the same thing again, but now with coins and juice. If you want 100% achievements you are basically done after not even 45 minutes but you have to replay the game two more times to get fishes as currency. I often continued playing mini incremental games after I got all achievements to finish the skill tree, get a new highscore or at least to see how efficiently i can now destroy everything in my way. Not with Cat x11. Because why should I? I saw what the game had to offer within not even half an hour and then bascially repeated everything until I reached an arbitrary point of prestige. This was okay for the first 30 to 45 minutes. Everything after that just felt like filler to me.

🐱 Four Prestiges, Fish Plants & Completely Ridiculous Power — What's Not to Like? CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT aka Catx11, doesn't reinvent the incremental genre, but after playing it from the very beginning through to 100% completion, I can comfortably say that what it does, it does very well. You play as a cat armed with a scythe, harvesting crops and gradually becoming increasingly, wonderfully overpowered. Things start innocently enough with tiny patches of grass, but this is an incremental game, so naturally we eventually reach the entirely sensible agricultural practice of harvesting fish plants. Yes. Fish plants. Just go with it. 😂 The progression loop is simple but satisfying. Harvest crops, level up, unlock upgrades, become stronger, work your way towards the boss and eventually prestige before starting the climb again. There are four prestiges on the road to 100% completion, and I'll admit that the beginning of each new prestige can feel slightly painful. You've just become enormously powerful and suddenly you're back near the bottom again. Thankfully, that feeling doesn't last particularly long. Once the upgrades start flowing again, the power ramps up quickly and before long you're cutting through things at increasingly ridiculous speeds. This is definitely one of those incremental games where the power eventually goes completely over the top, and I had a lot of fun with it. The skill tree is particularly nice, because it actually changes after each prestige rather than simply asking you to buy exactly the same upgrades again. Levelling during each run also unlocks additional upgrades, with a mixture of temporary and more persistent bonuses that keep giving you new ways to increase your power. Each prestige is ultimately gated behind a boss fight. Once you've properly developed your build they're not particularly difficult, but they provide a nice target to work towards and a satisfying end point for each run. It took me just over five hours to complete everything, including all four prestiges, and that felt about right. I bought the game at a slight discount and was perfectly happy with what I got for my money. Is CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT going to completely change the way you think about incremental games? No. It isn't trying to. What it gives you instead is a well-made, satisfying little incremental game with good progression, an enjoyable prestige system, some wonderfully excessive upgrades and a cat running around with a scythe harvesting increasingly ridiculous things. Sometimes that's more than enough. And perhaps the best indication of how much I enjoyed it is that finishing this one has made me want to go and investigate the developer's previous game, Loot Plot, next. I came for the cat. I stayed for the numbers going completely bonkers. And somehow I ended up farming fish. 💜 Tom Recommends.
Very short incremental (only 4 boss), I'm unsure if there will be some upgrades. There are two zones I have yet to understand the purpose unless it has to do with Steam Items.
