Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.63/day in the week to Aug 3 → 21.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Cast n Chill's a laid-back fishin’ game for folks who’d rather wet a line than break a sweat. Whether yer driftin’ on a lazy lake, pokin’ 'round a winding river, or droppin’ lines in salty blue water, this here’s a game where you set the pace.
Start with the basics, catch whatever bites, sell your haul, and put those coins toward better rods, reels, and upgrades. Before ya know it, you’ll be wranglin’ rare species that’d make any angler green with envy.

Find yer favourite fishin’ hole or keep wanderin’. There’s 16 peaceful spots to discover, each with its own critters swimmin’ 'round, just waitin’ to bite.

In Active Mode, you’re in the thick of it - castin’, reelin’, and keepin’ busy like a loon at nesting time.
Switch to Passive Mode if you’d rather let the game do the work while you’re off choppin’ wood.
Set it up on a second monitor or tuck it in the corner - come back later and see what kind o’ haul the fish gods left ya.
There’s 50+ fish to discover - some you’ll recognize, some you’ll squint at and go “what in the heck is that?” From scrappy little sunfish to big ol’ deepwater beasts, they’re all in the logbook waitin’ for your name.

There’s 16 fish out there that still get folks jabberin’ at ol' Rusty's bait shop like they saw Bigfoot ride a moose. Land one, and you'll be part o' the legend.
Grab your rod and call a buddy, Cast 'n Chill now has co-op! Whether you’re lookin’ to kick back and fish side-by-side or stir up a bit of friendly competition, it’s all better with company.

Nothin’ beats a day on the lake with a four-legged friend. They might not know a spinnerbait from a spoon, but they’ll help you spot a fish - if only 'cause they’re hopin’ for a bite themselves.

Roll up your sleeves and bring a worn down lakeside shack back to life, then kick back and enjoy the quiet while fishin’ off your own dock. Stock your pond, mount replicas of your best catches, and settle in while your trusty companion curls up by the fire.

Cast n Chill is a special cozy game for me, even though I don’t play it like other idler / incremental games (even though that’s what it is). It really has everything I love: beautiful pixel art, a gorgeous nature atmosphere with warm, fitting colors, relaxing fishing, and calm ambience sounds. I’m not playing it to farm money as fast as possible or to rush through it, but simply to unwind a bit and enjoy the mood. I love the quiet fishing, the relaxed atmosphere, the gentle sounds of water, while my furry companion sits right next to me. The idle mode might be very convenient for many players (and I respect that), but for me, it strips the game of some of its charm and atmosphere. When you activate it, everything keeps running in the background: you come back later to find yourself suddenly flush with fish and chips… sorry, I mean cash and fish :P, without actually having been there. I know that’s just the nature of idle games, but Cast n Chill is more than just an idle game. And it is precisely that sense of presence that makes this game so special to me. That’s why I’m sticking with active mode: relaxed, atmospheric fishing until I finally hit 100% and unlock all the achievements. Only then will I definitely switch to idle mode: perfect for a second monitor as an atmospheric ambience while I have americana, folk, and country music from "radiowv" or "Truthful Sessions" (perfect) playing in the background. 10/10 for this wonderful game! I’m already looking forward to: Wild n Chill. <3

очень медитативная игра с восхитительными пейзажами и моей любимой пиксельной графикой. очень радует наличие пассивного режима, включаю ее на фоне и наслаждаюсь красотой природы и поплёскиванием озерной водички. рекомендовано!
TL;DR - Beautiful - "Cozy" - Not much gameplay - Not really worth the money The game isn't bad!!!! I need to preface that with this review. The game is visually stunning despite it being very pixelated and the animations look really nice. If it is an asset pack, I genuinely couldn't tell. With that being said, there just isn't much gameplay? I think my problem is I came looking for an idle game. While you can enable idle mode, It basically just plays the game for you. As far as I know, there is literally no reason to play manually. You might think "oh that's just all idle games, you click manually before you are able to automate it", but not really? It's more like playing a fishing game and then voluntarily swapping to a youtube video of the game whenever you turn on idle mode. Again It's not BAD, but it's just not really what I would consider an actual idle game. I think people use the word "Cozy" to justify/excuse a game for having a lack of interesting elements or gameplay. Yea it's cozy i guess, but it's just as "cozy" as having a lofi anime girl as a wallpaper, you know? I just don't think "cozy" can justify the like 15$ price point of the game (I got it on sale so i forgot the price, it might be 12 not 15?). If it's what you want out of a game, hell yea, but it's just not for me
I enjoy idle games. I enjoy fishing games. This is, unfortunately, just about the worst of both worlds. The game is beautiful, but that beauty is skin deep. Identifying the fish is frustrating, as they don't have enough distinguishing features. I've spent a fair amount of time sat there trying to catch certain fish with the lure it suggests, the correct rod for the size, and having no success; there's no feedback about whether the descriptions are wrong, or there's some bit of gear I don't have that hasn't been revealed to me yet that's preventing them biting. And when they do bite...well, as someone who's done a fair bit of fishing, both digitally and in the real world, there's no joy to it. The mechanics are simple beyond belief. The direction of the fish doesn't matter. The type of fish makes little difference. You press the mouse when there are no bubbles, and let go when there are. That's it. It's extremely unsatisfying. The game does play itself, if you don't want to play it. Which at this point, sadly, I don't. But the novelty of it as basically a screensaver while I do other things has worn off already, and I'm nowhere near "done". There are no new mechanics as you progress. Just having to tediously pick between a greater variety of similar gear to tick the boxes it wants ticked, none of which has much in the way of real-world logic to it. It's just a numbers-go-up idler, at the end of the day. The fishing mechanics feel tacked on, and the idle gameplay isn't interesting enough to carry it. It's not terrible. But it's very, very far from deserving an "Overwhelmingly Positive" review score.

Absolutely love this game, genuinely been addicted lmao. Thanks to my older brother for gifting this to me!! Highly Recommend.
I hesitated at first, not being interested in fishing in real life and fishing is rarely my favourite thing when it comes as a minigame in farming or survival games. But I got HOOKED :D (pun intended), and here's why: - VIEW: the pixel art is just stunningly beautiful. Every location is unique and with so many lovely details. - MUSIC: The background music ist just right to set the atmosphere. - GAMEPLAY: straightforward, easy enough but not too much - legendary fish may take a minute and you need to keep on top of gear and locations, but the guide is just perfect for that. - LOOP: The gameplay loop is well balanced. It's not necessary to idle or grind a lot to progress fairly well through upgreading gear, boats etc. After 10h I think I'm like 90% done. That makes it also quite satisfying and interesting to move forward, discover new locations, fish, etc. - UPDATES: I came on board with winter and cabin update already out. I don't know if they plan more, but both seem really to add to the game - ice fishing has nice new mechanics, and the cabin too (haven't finished either yet, but they are both late game). - IDLE MODE: I don't get why people want idle games, you either play or you don't, too old for that, I guess. BUT - it was nice to keep the game running while doing minor game breaks (make a cup of tea, get a snack etc.) and come back to some extra cash. It can be set up (I turned off trophy and legendary catches) so that it doesn't spoil my completion stats.
É evidente o carinho colocado no desenvolvimento.
