Welcome to New Wirral, a remote island inhabited by strange creatures you’ve only dreamed of, nightmares you hopefully haven’t, and a cast of brave folks who use cassette tapes to transform for battle. To find a way home you’ll need to explore every inch of the island, and record monsters to your trusty cassette tapes to gain their abilities!
Faced with the constant threat of monster attacks, the residents of Harbourtown, New Wirral choose to fight fire with fire. Record a monster to tape, then play it back to take on its form for battle!
Getting close to your companion has benefits–while transformed you can combine your strengths to gain the upper hand in battle! Any two monster forms can be fused to produce unique, fully-animated new fusion forms.
Certain monster abilities can be used in human form. You’ll need these to help you get around, solve puzzles, and locate dungeons. Glide, fly, swim, climb, dash, or turn magnetic! Take on the Gauntlet – a never-ending battle mode where you’ll face fearsome enemies for precious material and glory!
Never fight alone! Form bonds, spend time together, and help your selected partner complete personal goals to become a better team. The strength of your relationship determines how well you’re able to fuse!
Take advantage of elemental chemistry to apply extra buffs or debuffs alongside your attack, or even alter your opponent’s elemental type!
Team up with a friend in local multiplayer to explore, transform, and fight together!
Party up with Online Multiplayer to trade monster tapes, challenge your friends to 1v1 battles, and team up to take on powerful Rogue Fusion beasts for great rewards!

Lots of fun. It's its own thing with its own interesting story and a very fun gameplay. Fixes most of the things that make me not enjoy the Pokemon games as much. Nevertheless, I just wish there was a lesser random component to catching all Beasts and completing the game
It's an amazing game about love and working together to discover friendship and empathy. And Pokemon, with cassette tapes.
ポケモンと比較する人が多いと思うんだけどキャラ育成や相性をより掘ったペーパーマリオという感じが強い。プラスチックを燃やしたら毒になるとか水を凍らせたら氷タイプになって1ターン動けなくなるとか。 対戦を視野に入れるならやっぱり全属性相性を覚えるのは大事だと思うんだけど一旦覚えるとかそういうことをしないで遊んでみてほしい。 気になる要素は数値配分が極端な奴が本当にひどい配分で攻撃と素早さを極端に削ってHPと防御に配分されているキャラが2体いて両方とも厄介なんだけど片方はキャプテン（ジムリーダー枠）が使っていて信じられないくらい面倒くさいってこと。行動も硬くなりながらじわじわ回復するっていう…

Excelente juego, te hace volver a enamorarte con este tipo de rpg estilo pokémon, le aporta un aire novedoso con el formato de captura, el estilo 16bits pega muy bien con la trama y la base de cassette. Las criaturas muy bien pensadas a pesar de lo extraña que puedan parecer, es parte de su apartado. La musica, es lejos de las mejores que he escuchado, desde estilo muy Chill a pop rock y hasta punk en sus letras. Muy recomendado.
Bastante bueno la verdad, un RPG tipo Pokemon bastante clásico, el estilo de arte cumple, los diseños están en un punto medio entre Pokemon y Digimon, la historia es interesante, los personajes secundarios por otro lado son algo unidimensionales aunque por lo menos no son molestos... Quizá la chica esa que te hace buscar un disco de música sobre. Talvez la duración es su punto más flojo, 27 horas en mi caso, para ser un RPG, aunque claro es un juego indi de un estudio pequeño y no pretende ser otra cosa. Es relativamente fácil, sobre todo por el diseño de mundo abierto, es sencillo saltarte bosses de early game, los cuales terminas destruyendo luego, el sistema de tipos está bien, a mi parecer, se basa más en debuffos que en multiplicadores de daño. La música es quizá su punto más fuerte. Es un buen juego y de bajo costo

Увидел случайно на reddit, заманила стилистика, окончательно добила дело скидка - сразу в корзину Первые два часа шло не очень активно, размышлял стоило ли того, но оно того стоило Втянулся, купил сразу сюжетное дополнение Из минусов разве что не очень отзывчивое управление на мировой карте и несколько пустоватые комнаты З.ы. нашёл за вас тот самый трек, "Like Chimeras"
Honestly was a little worried about getting this, but quickly found it to be very enjoyable! I was worried that I wouldn't enjoy it because I got burned out from Pokemon games due to the format being the exact same in every game, and I was worried that Cassette Beasts would be too similar to enjoy as well. However, the story, the characters, the battles all feel so fresh and it reminds me of the enjoyment I got from my first Pokemon games. Highly recommend.
Great creature collector game. Has a lot of cool features and the story is excellent.
