Reviews
I do recommend Cartel Tycoon. At its heart, it's a resource management game - but the atmosphere and theme set it apart from other similar games. It's fun to build the supply chains, and the game is quite realistic to the reality of drug cartels in Central/South America. The soundtrack is great, the graphics are (IMO) beautiful, and some of the quests provide some fun moments. This game isn't without flaws, though. For starters, there are lots of mana bars. You don't want to fill the Terror bar, otherwise more powerful law enforcement agencies will come after you; and you do want instead to fill the Loyalty bar, so that you can different bonuses. Each of your lieutenants (the agents you control on the map) have a loyalty indicator, however. So does every single gang. The game in part then becomes a wack-a-mole of filling and emptying various bars, which takes away from the experience of managing a drug cartel. Sometimes, especially in the early game, having gangs and authorities attacking you feels punishing. Again, this is realistic, but it does feel like the game is coming at you just for trying to set up your operations. This becomes more manageable as you earn more money to fill in the Loyalty bar and keep the Terror bar empty. At the end of my last match, I never had to deal with anything worse than the second-lowest law enforcement agency. Also, there is only one map. And some of the mechanics should be better explained. For example, by resisting the police, rival gang loyalty increases. Kinda makes sense, but I discovered at the end of my last run. At the end of the day, however, this is a solid game. The creators clearly read about this topic, and it shows. It gave me quite a few hours of fun managing my own personal drug cartel, and seeing my supply chains work and the money rake in was quite satisfying. All in all, this is a recommend from me.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

its just so ass, tried the story mode like 5 times. always the same thing will happen after like 20% completion, all your ♥♥♥♥ will be spam seized and other gangs will spam attack you destroying everything.
pointless game really, looks nice, feels nice....but set up 2 different types of stock and thats all the money you need...money...is pontless,..you cant turn it to clean money fast enough...if you did...you cant spend it !!! or rather...there is nothing to buy...2hrs into the game when you get 250k...thast ll the money you will need.
this is actually a great game, but the devs abbanonned it in 2023, since then all they did is 1 or 2 moneygrab dlc's. the game is nice tho
This is the 4th city sim I have played this week, only 1 of them had a good tutorial and it was not this one. The tutorial is heavily scripted and very slow, which might not have been an issue if the work I just did was not just a 88 min easy mode mission that reset after completion that lead to another heavily scripted mission system starting again. When I say scripted, I mean you must do x in y way or that does work(eg. I built a casino instead of a taxi depot, well I had to go build said taxi depot too). Also, having to manually send out your men to deliver some stuff is a pain too.
