I can't really recommend it. It's a cute concept and all, but for me absolutely fails at the "cozy game" mission statement. The deckbuilding aspect feels weird and the fact that you retain your hand and just draw one card (or pay 4 to draw a second) makes the whole gameplay feel super clunky. High cost cards just sit in your hand, especially the red ones. Since you don't draw a lot of cards you hit a drought of cards to increase your population, which in turn lets you sit at the same amount of money for rounds and rounds. Pair this with the trouble mechanic and the three alarm signs that end your game and you end up with a game with a cozy aesthetic with an absolutely stressful gameplay. This might as well be a "git gud" issue but after 2 hours I just don't see the point.
I bought this on the steam summer sale for $3.99 and honestly I wouldn't pay anymore for this. I was shocked to see so many negative reviews. Overall I liked this game. I played and failed a couple of times before I finally won one and for $4 bucks I think 5 hours of playtime is fair. I wouldn't play again due to the very repetitive nature of the game. I was disappointed to see how little variation was in the challenges and cards themselves. It left a lot to be desired. If the game had included more cards and challenges I think the replay-ability would definitely be there. Overall I do recommend this game if you like the genre but only if it's on sale. Do not pay $20 for this.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Developer and artist have left this game under the care of the publisher. It's playable and quite enjoyable, but has some flaws which will not be resolved.
Played once and didn't feel the need to revisit. You're dropped into your first game with very little initial tutorial--if you're familiar with city-builders you'll be fine, but otherwise I guess you just have to figure it out? The run I played was either super buggy or super nerfed by debuffs that weren't sufficiently telegraphed (again, possibly because there was not enough tutorial to point me where I should be looking for my debuffs, or up-front info on how long they lasted... is "can't play most expensive card" permanent, or does it get overwritten by the next debuff? Beats me, because the game doesn't tell you up front.) It seemed fine, but the deck-building wasn't compelling enough for me to try a second run. Not recommending this one unless the deck-building gets a hard look to make it more rewarding and strategic.
This game has alot of strategic depth while keeping the mechanics relatively simple. It's very well done for that in my opinion
For the discounted price, it's definitely worth it. The art style is unique, and the cardboard aesthetic totally has its own charm. The combination of city-building and card mechanics (it kind of reminds me of Monopoly) feels fresh and surprisingly fun. It's simple to pick up, but it still keeps you thinking about your next move... until you realize your luck absolutely sucks lol😭 I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it, especially if you can grab it on sale.
Very promising game but lack of onboarding or even tooltips (or explaining what constitutes a card since they call some things cards and it doesn't actually count as one / has a special rule OR something isn't a card but it still blocks certain mechanics). Overall, I see why it deserves the initial negative review and hope to see it get better.
What's this? A town-builder woefully underpopulated by mediocre deck-building mechanics? Adding some uncompelling card gimmicks oughta put a stop to that. Enjoy being starved for road cards and having no creative control over how your town looks. Relish the same four buildings over and over, along with the limited options for where to place them. Bask in the paint-dryingly slow pace of the game and the 9-coin cards that will sit in your hand for 26 turns before you finally have enough coins to play it. This game is a gift. Accept it. It is not the one you need, but certainly the one you deserve.
This game is beautiful but it's infuriating to play. You are given very little control over what cards you take and how many. This means you can't really build for anything in particular, and the game forces you into a huge mess of a deck. Surviving becomes very RNG heavy, and you can easily end up in a situation where you go 10-20 turns without being able to draw the one thing you need to avoid failure.
It is very complicated game and despite the explanations not everything is clear. If you expect a city builder, this is not it. It plays purely as strategical resource management and domino game, city is just a theme. Addicting but incredibly frustrating at the same time just because it gets complicated very quickly. This game is for hardcore board game strategists and time sink at that.
