Cally's Trials

This is an enjoyable little platformer, but it doesn't necessarily grab onto you and bring back fond memories ten years from now. It's not Super Mario or Contra where you will want to go back every decade and do it again, but it doesn't feel like a waste of time to play. There is no engrossing story, but there is a sense of accomplishment when you get past a part you may have been struggling with. There is a lot of grind so that can be a detriment for some, but they do keep adding new weapons for you to try and utilize to make the game more interesting. There are a few games in the series so I would say if you enjoyed the grind in one you will enjoy it again in this and if you didn't then pass.

A really solid remake of Cally's Caves 2. If you played 3, you know what to expect. Guns that upgrade the more you use them, solid action and platforming, and an enjoyable story. You can do much worse than this, especially for the price.

Very fun - I like it! Some small criticisms: - You can fire most weapons at pretty much any speed depending on how fast you mash the fire button. It's effective but... I feel like the maximum fire rate of a weapon should have been the one achieved when you hold the button down. - There might be a small bug with the jumping that means that sometimes it registers you as being in the air when you're not, meaning that you only end up with 1 mid-air jump instead of 2. For the most part it's not a big problem until you reach the very final levels where one less jump kills you >.< It's hard to tell if it's a real bug or if it's just to do with very careful timing of jumps. - Roguelikes like this tend to require a fair bit of time per session. I never like that feeling that once I start a game, I might be committed to this "run" for some time! But... that's a subjective problem really. Overall though despite these fairly small problems it's a simple but very enjoyable game that I would recommend ^^

Помню те ночи, когда, забыв обо всем, я сидел с геймпадом в руках, пытаясь пройти сложный уровень. Каждый раз, когда не мог преодолеть какое-то препятствие, я не сдавался. Нет, я не сдавался никогда! Пытался снова и снова, пока не почувствовал тот удовлетворяющий момент, когда, наконец, преодолевал его. Эта победа была для меня не просто победой в игре, это было победой над самим собой, над своими сомнениями и страхами. Эта игра научила меня терпению, настойчивости и вере в свои силы. Показала, что даже самые сложные испытания можно преодолеть, если не терять веру и продолжать идти вперед. Каждый новый уровень становился для меня возможностью расти и развиваться, учиться и находить новые подходы к решению проблем. Я полюбил каждую деталь этого прекрасного мира. Эти моменты были моим спасением от повседневных забот, давали силы и вдохновение. Каждый игровой момент с Cally's Trials - это невероятное приключение, которое навсегда останется в моем сердце. Теперь, спустя годы, всегда с радостью возвращаюсь к этой игре, чтобы окунуться в её магию и вновь пережить те незабываемые моменты. Cally's Trials - это не просто игра, это часть меня, моя страсть и моя любовь к игровому миру. Спасибо разработчикам за эту неповторимую историю, за возможность стать настоящим героем и за то, что дали мне веру в себя. Единственное, очень жаль, что Cally's Trials для смартфонов (Cally's Caves 2) забросили и нет возможности пройти на смартфоне с новой версией Android. Всё нормально, но карта не открывается, а на ПК карты вообще нет. Всё же кнопка "MAP" в тысячу раз удобнее того, чтобы либо заново всё каждый раз проходить, либо идти до уровня, откуда, каждый раз, можно попасть лишь в начало главы, а не на тот уровень, на котором закончил. Это очень огорчает, но, скорее всего, игру уже никогда не обновят. Писал это в Play Маркете, напишу и здесь, шансов очень мало, но я буду верить, что кнопку "MAP" починят и я снова смогу играть в самую любимую часть - Cally's Caves 2.

Fun game! Classic platformer!

This game is just... not good. The game play itself is boring after a while, as the level are similar, with pretty much no different in term of game play. The game will drag out slightly on purpose by adding level that you cannot pass through without buying the "optional" upgrade as well. Furthermore, while the game boast about the number of different weapons it has, and despite it is truthful as well, it is actually more of a drag than an actual advantage. The so many weapons are mostly useless, with a few needed for the level itself (unlocking areas) but mostly sitting there doing nothing. Once you find a few that's useful to you, you will waste most of the time changing weapon, since you can only go to next weapon at any time. The 12 or so weapons mean that you will need to constantly shuffling through the whole list before getting to the one you need. An option to set a few favourite weapon for quick change will be way better. Also, the money needed to buy things are so ridiculously expensive, that after I got to max level and managed the final boss as well as the extra challenge level, I'm still significantly short for buying most of the upgrade.

i beat the entire game just to get an advertisement for one in the series i already own my hands will never recover from the final dungeon
