The best Lovecraftian game I have played. Cyanide's 2018 Call of Cthulhu is a very underrated game and although it is not perfect, the story is great, the characters are well fleshed out and engaging, and the mysterious and creepy atmosphere is captured perfectly. If you are seeking lots of combat then this game is not for you. It is more focused on investigation, stealth, exploration and decision making to unfold a cultic murder mystery with an oppressive cosmic horror enveloping the game world. Quite a short game but not one that you will forget!

I played Dark Corners of the Earth and loved it at the time, but this one didn't click for me somehow. The game has a good start IMO, but after 4 or 5 chapters it drags a lot. The story is quite interesting, but the gameplay is not that enjoyable IMO. Choices/different dialog options seem like they don't actually matter, testing your skills seems random, and the investigation mechanics are quite generic. I think it could be a telltale-like game instead of a first person experience. I don't hate the game, but I don't feel like finishing it, which is unfortunate because as I said before I loved Dark Corners of the Earth.
