DOOM-style brutality in a fast, vicious 2D run-and-gun shooter.
BUTCHER is a fast spaced 2D side scrolling shooter which feels like DOOM but in 2D. Let me tell you, this game is NOT easy, normal mode is hard mode but luckily they have a DLC to play the game in easy mode if you just want a casual playthrough (which I wanted). The game is not super long, and can be played through in about 1.5 hours on easy mode, otherwise you will be in for a lot of trial and error (similar to Hotline Miami).

This game is a banger if you're into ridiculous amounts of gore, bad*ss weapons, and a heavy as s*t atmosphere, the in game character sprites aren't gonna win any beauty contests but the concept art is absolute fire, the environments and the batsh*it crazy gameplay make up for it This game is hard, but it doesn't pull that cheap bulls*it difficulty that pi**es you off, If you're gonna play it, use a controller though, makes all the difference Its me or there's some serious Quake 1 vibes going on here but in 2D, and I'm not even sure if I'm trippin or if anyone else gets that feeling, but I'm pretty sure that's intentional Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who isn't a casual. It's a challenge, especially if you put it to hard difficulty. This is not for the faint of heart or any baby or easy mode gamers, but if you've got balls and can handle getting your a*s handed to you until you git gud, this is your game plus the workshop is loaded 9/10 would brutalize myself again

The game takes place in a post-apocalyptic world after a great war. Players don't take on the role of a hero trying to save humanity, but rather a cyborg on the side of the machine, determined to destroy it. Despite its release in 2016, the game perfectly captures the atmosphere of '90s games. I played on the hard difficulty setting and at times felt like giving up, but I persevered and don't regret it. Because the base game doesn't have an easy difficulty setting, you can feel the difficulty of games released on PlayStation PSP. The game itself isn't very long, doesn't have many missions, but it does include collectibles in the form of skulls. I think the price is fair for the content; you can always wait for a sale. I recommend this game to people who enjoy a challenge and this type of gameplay atmosphere.
Há quem diga que esse jogo não é nada demais, que ele é só um "Doom 2D", um joguinho tolo! Porém, essas palavras são insípidas, e essas "pessoas" sofrem da terrível moléstia da perspectiva superficial; são jogadores casuais fracos. Esse jogo é simples, sim, mas uma simplicidade polida, linda, e gostosinha demais. Para mim não há melhor experiência audio-visual. A speedrun desse jogo também é muito gostosa, vocês deveriam tentar —é bem divertido.
