About
Breathedge 2 is a humorous survival adventure set in space, following an ordinary Man and his perfectly ordinary space problems. It’s a direct sequel to Breathedge, but don’t worry if you never played the first game: everything will be equally confusing to Breathedge veterans and complete newcomers alike.
The Breathedge Corporation unexpectedly started a galaxy-wide war, built an enormous army of Coffinbots, and attacked the largest human settlements. The Man and his faithful companion, an AI living inside his spacesuit, accidentally derailed the Corporation’s plans for a swift takeover and instantly became the number-one target of every hostile Coffinbot out there. Apparently, fate still wasn’t satisfied. Having barely survived, our heroes suddenly find themselves under attack by their own allies.
Who attacked whom? Who is Babe? Why does the Man need a Chicken? Where were we even going? And what are we supposed to do with all this duct tape? Figuring that out is now your problem.
Breathedge 2 is a story-driven adventure where exploring the world is a major part of the experience. Along the way, you’ll get to know the Man and his crew, learn more about life on the distant fringes of inhabited space, meet new characters, and gradually untangle the forces carving up the galaxy between them.
Explore abandoned stations, ruined settlements, shipwrecks, and plenty of places no reasonable person would ever think of entering. Discover other people’s stories, strange devices, useful junk, and completely useless one-of-a-kind treasures. Some discoveries will be funny, others strange or unsettling, and a few may help you understand what is actually going on and what part you have to play in it.
Hunted from every direction, the heroes of Breathedge 2 are forced to survive in some of the harshest conditions on the fringes of inhabited space. There are no 24-hour stores or banana smoothies out here, but there is an ocean of duct tape, tons of wreckage, and the Man’s remarkably capable hands, ready to turn all that garbage into surprisingly useful contraptions.
Learn new blueprints, craft tools and equipment, and upgrade both your gear and your spacesuit. Repair and dismantle machinery, gather resources, find ways into inaccessible places, and venture farther and farther from anything resembling safety. Out in open space, you’ll need to keep an eye on your oxygen, temperature, and various other little details capable of bringing your adventure to a premature end. Occasionally, you’ll also have to fight, run away, and shove aside the bodies of less fortunate astronauts.
Breathedge 2 is currently in Early Access and is still actively being developed. At the start of Early Access, the game includes its first major story chapter, a large area to explore, and its core gameplay systems. The story is not yet complete, parts of the world are still inaccessible, and some systems will continue to grow and evolve throughout development.
During Early Access, we plan to release major updates that continue the story and add new areas, mechanics, characters, items, and other features. At the same time, we may continue refining existing content, balance, UI, performance, and fixing issues as they are discovered.
Player feedback is an important part of this process. We’re incredibly grateful for your support and for all the comments that give us both inspiration and a fresh perspective on the game. Please keep sharing your feedback with us wherever you can. It helps us make Breathedge 2 even better.

Nice start! More needed!
Early access first drop: I've decided to title this genre "it's stupid and I love it". However, the second installment, so far, misses a bit of what made the first one so incredible. In the first game, you would to The Task and then the outcome of The Task would be completely unexpected but somehow still progress the story. It would catch me off guard every time and delight me. This entry, you do The Task and then The Task progresses The Plot(?). For players new to the franchise, stop. Go to the steam page for Breathedge and get that one. Do not start here. I mean, you probably could, but you'd kiss some critical Plot(?). There IS a kinda recap, but the first game is complete, very polished, and a blast to play. Both entries play like a dream on the Steam Deck. If you're hellbent on this one, or a returning player, you can expect the usual survival mechanics of hunger, thirst, health, sleepiness, and since you're in space your oxygen will also be a problem. None of these resources are obnoxiously difficult to get, and you'll probably only be shot by a few lasers and mole spit. For the entirety of the primary early access drop I was super disappointed to be without my trusty spacesuit AI. But it appears it's now in a little robot who is more annoying than he has any need to be. Without the super suave voice of the first game he's just obnoxious. Shut up, you lil tinfoil ball before I meet you jnti the next star, so help me- Babe is present, mysterious, and generally unobtrusive. She acts mostly as a way for The Task to be identified in order to advance The Plot(?). The Chicken is still around and makes some particularly amusing, classic appearances (lookin' at you, Turing test), but isn't nearly as involved as she should be so far. The first area, a train station in the middle of nowhere literally entitled "The Outskirts" is poorly inhabited and poorly maintained. But you, The Man, are able to make some repairs. The scenery is cold but beautiful, as the first entry. Space is equal parts gorgeous and wants to kill you in an exciting variety of ways. There's collectables reminiscent of the first game, but you can't just place them wherever, which is very upsetting. I mean, most of my collectables ended up crammed in a pile in the corner of my shuttle in the first game, but LET ME DISPLAY MY STUFFY COLLECTION, DEVS! The addition of Babe's purse is a great storage tool, and it makes sense hat it follows you when you change locations because of course she'd bring it along. Overall, so far The Tasks lack the variety and weird outcomes of the first game. The humor feels a bit more dry. And, aside from the sonar section, Man talking us just annoying. (Bring back our silent protagonist, please.) The first entry was vibrant in its witty writing. This one feels a lot more mainstream. The writer's and level designers are at their best when they're being meta and silly, where this one's feels more like it was written by a room full of fourteen yearold boys with typewriters trying to make Shakespeare. Currently I'd give this 3/5 stars. But I'm still looking forward to the next update in due time, where I'll be back with my blue electrical tape to update this review.

Игра просто улёт!!!
I didn't quite understand how to activate the worm nests at first but got there eventually. Looking forward to the release, this was fun!
kinda sucks that when u upgrade your equipment it only last so long and then it goes back to being normal, would be nice to upgrade once but outside of that, the game is pretty fun
This is a great game, very similar to the previous installment of this series. Highly recommend.
This is a solid early access title. I want to see the rest!
Прекрасный гимн Обочины с игрой в подарок! Выдать Разработчикам по вкусному мороженому и бесплатной квартире за заслуги перед партией! Отдельное спасибо Климу Жукову за то, что он не принимал участие в создании этой игры!
