Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 316.29/day in the week to Sep 15 → 99.29/day in the week after.
Of the 12 markets with a position on both sides, 5 climbed and 3 fell. The same sale, the same day, opposite directions — which is why nothing here is averaged into a single arrow, and why one sale is not a trend.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 47/day in the week to Sep 11 → 340.86/day in the week after.
One market had a chart position on both sides of this cut. One sale in one country is an anecdote — read it next to the store-wide figures below.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 41.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 47.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 17 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,502 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I like the Borderlands franchise, 2 being my favourite, but I am hesitant to recommend this one. The price shot up to $90 CAD, and isn't even properly optimized. Compiling shaders TWICE on every load in, the second one being far slower than the first, or compiling shaders HORRIBLY slowly if I change any graphics settings. Speaking of which, on a rig that should be able to easily handle high, I had to drop to medium and low due to ridiculous frame drops in any and every fight. Which, this being a Borderlands game, is a lot of fights. That's a ton of frustrating fights and drops to the point where I can hardly see. Aside from the much higher than normal price tag up front, they lock tons of content behind a paywall. I already spent almost $100 on your game, and you want MORE?? For skins and crappy side stories that, based on other reviews, are not worth the time and money? The greed is so frustrating to deal with as a gamer. I want to enjoy games that I have played in the past, but I am not going to waste a bunch more money on something not properly optimized, or some weird lame side quest for an additional $20-$30. All of that aside, the roaming and exploring has been quite nice. The lack of load screens between areas is a nice change, and the open-world feel makes it quite smooth. As usual, the cinematics are funny and quirky, and there's lots to do and loads to discover and unlock. I am enjoying the story thus far, and am hopeful it's more immersive and gripping than BL3. The twins were fine, but not even close to being a hateful villian like Handsome Jack. The combat has been feeling a little.... weak. My husband and I play this together, and we put it on Hard difficulty, and we walked through the first main boss. The Eridium dependancy of the other games is now obsolete, and it doesn't seem to matter what element you use. In BL2, if you went against an armoured guy with anything but corrosive, you were not breaking his armour. I use a Maliwan Shock/Incendiary, and don't even have to switch to the incendiary after the shields are down, because I shred them anyway. A little disappointing. Looting weapons feels off this run as well; I only get shotguns, snipers, and assault rifles that only have a single shot (not full-auto). I miss rocket launchers being their own weapon as well; they have morphed into the grenade slot, and I never use them due to how long it takes to switch weapons, aim, and fire, as opposed to clicking G while shooting and automatically whipping out a grenade. All in all, I could recommend the game if you look past the pay-wall, the frame drops, and the shaders compiling EVERY. SINGLE. LOAD IN. Otherwise, it's been a disappointment for me.
Good borderlands game bad optimization
Love the game and the DLC content that has been released, however the grind for usable weapons in endgame is ridiculous. I am ok with a grind and I don't need a perfect roll, but i've spent hours and hours grinding weapons at UVH5-UVH7 and all I find is low dps garbage that is less than half of the dps of the 4 gomie assault rifles I have equipped (its the only gun the game has given me that synergizes with my Amon melee build). It's gotten to the point where I started playing with a mod that guarantees a drop after a boss kill and honestly it hasn't even made a difference. So I ask Gearbox, please raise the dps floor of legendries, make them roll with element more often, make them drop more often at UVH7 (a 1/5 chance for most is terrible for bosses like brain Zane), and also buff more legendries to be endgame viable so that there is some variety). I want to play your game but right not my gameplay loop is consisting of killing the same boss all night long just to get a gun that has less than half the base damage of rolls posted online and never rolls with element. I didn't mention licensed parts in this review because i think they're a great idea, but with so many rng factors in they just add to an already frustrating grind.
Fang am besten das Spiel an wenn du Single bist es macht süchtig.
Started the game. Compiling shaders. Alright, fair. I let it finish. It says that it needs to reboot to apply patch. Sure, I guess. Started the game again and compiling shaders again. Fine, I let it finish. Then I went into the main menu and then went to set video settings. I couldn't back out because it started compiling shaders AGAIN! Clicked on continue game and guess what? COMPILING SHADERS once again!!! Now I'm out 20 minutes just compiling shaders 4 times.
Honestly as someone whose been a massive fan of the series (Pre-sequel, BL2, are where i started.) I cannot help but feel while yes the story is a step forward form BL3, mostly everything else is just, okay. Having almost every mission be a grapple fest definitely is not the most fun mechanic. On top of that I cannot recommend this game, even as someone who has a 5070. This game runs like ♥♥♥♥, I have tried every pack since the first DLC. In hopes i could come back to play the game and "enjoy" endgame. When the Devs say "we hear your concerns and we are taking your support into consideration" is nothing but a slap in the face. This game has been out almost a full year, yet they have been able to release 9 DLC content packs, without proper fixes to the games engine on pc. ♥♥♥♥ you gearbox, your not getting another $ out of me.
