Book of Demons is a Hack & Slash in which YOU decide the length of quests. Wield magic cards instead of weapons and slay the armies of darkness in the dungeons below the Old Cathedral. Save the terror-stricken Paperverse from the clutches of the Archdemon himself!

Reviews
First, my negative choice is mostly me not recommending to myself. What's good: I enjoyed the humor of the characters and within the general quest line. The characters are cute and like-able. The game gets a feel for how long it takes you to play a segment and you can adjust how long you wish to put in effort, excellent for some casual play. The movement is simple and combat is not going to require anything more than a plan and occasional quick response to improve your survival. The art is nice, I experienced 0 bugs which anymore probably should be celebrated more than it is. I really enjoyed the card mechanic and how magic can be locked to support a weapon and learning how to overcome losing magic. What's not so good: I'm not a fan of time sinking or grinding. A game doesn't increase in fun because you do the same thing for 100 hours instead of 10. Honestly, at the 10 hour mark, I really wanted to be done, but I wanted to complete the Archdemon first. Once complete, there's a screen that will show you all the things you can pursue now that you completed the story or even start anew on a different character type and that's great for anyone that wants that, I am a fan of new game +, but it may be hard as it is for me to start a new character or continue with one in freeplay to do the same things just to get more cards etc. I think one thing that may have made this part better would have been multiplayer with perhaps a trading mechanic.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 15: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Its a nice little rogue like inspired by diablo. But it has major flaws. First of all the games difficulty is fairly moderate trought out the game which makes it a nice little game to play and relax to after a long day. But the difficulty spikes up 11 in the very last dungeon. I went from destroyng the enemies to getting killed in seconds. I didn't even know you could lose your cards because the only time i died in the game was during the last dungeon. And before you unlock freeplay you are essentially locked out from entering previous dungeons. Now I know that the game is centered around collecting a deck of cards which gives you bonuses and different attacks to use against the hordes of demons. Death is supposed to force you to use something other than your go to cards because you lose the cards on hand upon death. But sometimes (Like in my playtrought) my deck of cards wasnt that varied. I didnt get many new cards and I was just able to fill my current card slots with the ones I had before I went to the final Dungeon. Losing those cards and not having an ability get more cards has effectively soft locked me. This seems quite excessive because I completed every single Dungeon 100% because I wanted to get everything out the game during the first go. The game is fun, it has a cool artstyle and easy to learn combat and quite relaxing gameplay. But the end game is not fairly balanced in my oppinion since I could go trought the game 100% every dungeon without breaking a sweat and then lost it all on the final major difficulty spike, so do keep that in mind if you think about buying this game.
Book of Demons is an interesting take on a hack and slash game. The game world is beautifully designed to look like origami art. The skills have been replaced by cards that you can shuffle on the fly for both active skills, and passive buffs. The game has a very straightforward story with customizable level/play session duration which makes this a very accessible game to play on a day to day basis; all one needs is 15 mins of free time for a session, which is full of monsters to kill, loot to collect, boss fights and achievements. There is a card upgrade system in place which spices things up, and comes in handy especially during the later half of the game. I have just finished the first play through with a 'Warrior' character. There are two more classes to play- Ranger and Mage. I am looking forward to playing as a Mage next, especially with tons of legendary cards still left to find. Overall, it was fun to play, and I had a very good experience. Highly recommended! Cheers!! PS- Don't forget to fully listen to the song at the end of the first playthough. It is quite good!

Super addicting
此遊戲有毒性,會欲罷不能想往下探險,下面的怪物越來越恐怖了,錢錢總是不夠花@@
pretty fun game. its basically a parody of Diablo 1 where you can only walk along a defined track and you have cards instead of items and skills. This mechanic is a bit frustrating at first but you learn the strategy of how to deal with enemies while bound to this said track. Im playing on roguelike mode which is quite a decent challenge imo and requires strategy. I havent tried the super hot mode but I think it would turn the game into a turn by turn rpg which is an other option for more casual players I guess.
"Sha la la la lay, die! demons die!"
