Yeah idk what other TD ur gonna play
I'll start with some positives, as I have a lot of gripes about this game and many of them can be solved by playing in Offline mode.

If you like the old flash games, then this is a great option to feel some nostalgia on occasion.
If you're a completionist, then this is a great time sink, especially if you're wanting something to play in the background. I like to play when watching a show and getting the medals for the levels so far.
A wide variety of towers / maps that can make for a lot of ways to play.
Difficulties are accurate to their name.
The cash that is sold in the item shop for IRL doubloons are pretty easily earned in game. So take your time, don't spend money.
XP for towers is earned at a decent enough rate overall. So that makes for a good feeling of 'progression'.
Heroes are a great edition to the game series.
Events happen often, leading to a good amount of ways to earn the in game cash.
It can "work" in offline mode.(It will get stuck on the initial/launching loading screen)
Multiplayer does exist.
While I do love the memories I have with this game, there many problems with it. But keep the positives and offline mode in mind when you think about buying it. The lowest price sale is $1...which even with all of the problems it's well worth it. Despite being installed on an NVMe SSD, loading times are pretty bad. When launching it goes through 10 loading sections, which can take between 1 minute to 3 minutes at worst(First launch/es after a while). Sometimes there is a black screen that you can't get out of. If you click the cash shop though, it does seem to actually register that click and you can then get out of it. Imagine that. This has usually happened on hero swapping(when selecting hero from a level select), opening a daily gift, leveling up(when it has multiple rewards) probably other stuff too but idk. It happens too much for a game that's been out for almost 8 years. The ads that are forced upon you every time you get into the game are annoying. You'll get past the initial loading screen and forced into a loading screen(This is the black infinite loading screen, but I've had it in other spots as well) for an event, which will have a pack on 'sale' for, or have a popup for some random pack.

When you select the multiplayer, you'll get a multiplayer pack popup.
Any times there is an event going on, which usually will lead to the blank loading screen(excluding the + to add cash.)
When you fail a level for the first time, you'll get a popup for something.
If you click on a purchase upgrade for a tower but don't have the XP, instead of maybe prompting and asking if you'd like to go to the store, the game automatically sends you straight to the store to buy the xp pack for that individual tower.
Every time you click on a hero for the first time you'll be prompted to buy their individual hero pack.
The first time you go to the Powers and Knowledge screens you get a popup asking if you'd like to buy the packs for those things.
And every time you open the game....as previously mentioned.
I believe every pack that I have seen is ONLY available through IRL cash. You can't get them with the monkey dollars. Once again, I do have love for this game in my heart. But the issues I've listed do get really annoying really quickly.
