Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Jul 23 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game of Blood Bowl is good, but the developers made the video game version really really bad. It's crazy. User Interface errors occurring even after years of release, player and grass grafics never quite seeming to fit together, not even touch downs registering on time with the sounds...arg. And then it is filled with silly micro transactions. Somehow this was a huge step down from Blood Bowl 2. Very disappointing. :( But your are kind of stuck with this if you want to play the new rules, so I guess we just have to suck it up.
Blood Bowl is a great game. Blood Bowl 3 is not. It has many bugs in which the developers say that they have fixed only to either A) not fix them or B) introduce new bugs. The game will often hang on certain events and require you to ALT-F4 and load back in. The single player content is largely terrible. The AI is not capable of putting up any sort of a challenge so if you are after a single player blood bowl game you are looking in the wrong place. From a multiplayer perspective you have a few options. Private leagues, ladder and arena. Public ladder is the only mode to have skill based match making, however regardless of skill it will put teams with very different team values in a match. Expect differences of 100K-200K on a regular basis. Fresh teams are offered no protection so expect to run into underdog match ups. This is made worse by the short number of games before redraft, killing a lot of new teams off and making it very hard to learn to get better as you will either be curb stomping low TV teams or getting blasted by high TV teams. Rosters that start with very few skills are penalised on ladder due to this, so despite the game having a lot of teams (many are paywalled) only a handful are really viable long term in ladder. Arena is better - all teams are an even playing field with certain rosters getting more skills if they are worse. However arena offers no skill based match making (other than games won/lost) so top coaches can and will delivery some heavy losses to newcomers. Arena also doesnt offer any player development (as intended) which is important for a lot of players. Its also a sparsely populated game mode. TLDR - from a technical performance perspective Blood Bowl 3 sucks. From a single player experience Blood Bowl 3 is awful. From a multiplayer perspective ladder is horrible experience. Arena is the shining light but has problems for newer players with no skill based match making.

I have so many hours in this game. I have played Fumbbl and tabletop. I have never experienced the uneven dice rolls as I have in Blood Bowl 3. Even if I roll bad in Fumbbl or Tabletop I have the ability to talk to someone about the unfortunate dice roll and have human empathy. BB3 is a void less game with no heart or community. I personally hope this game gets sold to a company that makes this game enjoyable. Not being able to get the rules to 2025 KNOWING ahead of time that the change is coming is just unacceptable. Launch = terrible, support = terrible, updates = terrible. Please let someone else try to make this game good.
Honestly, if it weren't for the fact that this is the primary and most popular way to play blood bowl's 2020 ruleset online, I wouldn't bother with this one. Blood Bowl 2 was better in pretty much every way bar some quality of life and team customisation options (many of which are locked behind paywalls however). This whole thing reeks of a pretty shameless attempt to squeeze as much money as possible from a small but dedicated and loyal fanbase which is a shame because its overshadowing the fact that this game is still essentially a fun game underneath all the monetisation. If you're looking for a fun way to play the 2020 ruleset online its great for that purpose but if the buggyness and scummy attempts to make as much money as possible turn you away I don't blame you at all. Fumbbl is completely free and easy to access online if you're looking for a different way to play bb2020 online, even if it has its own problems, and bb2 is still as good as ever so if you don't mind playing on the old ruleset then there's no reason to invest here.
Game need a lot of work still and man they are STINGY... either get halfway through the battle pass to get 50 gem stones or once a week you get 10, you need 750 to get 1 new base team. Ill stay it a different way, you cannot play any added team without playing or playing 100 hours. I have 42 hours in and im only half way to getting a new team. other then that AI still sucks, ive had them run in and out taking the dumbest route an end up just killing themselves. Ive never lost a match or even been close to it. I dont recommend.
play BB2 instead, over complicated menus, microtransactions everywhere it's a hassle a fall from grace compared to BB2.
Blood Bowl 3 could’ve done a great upgrade compared to Blood Bowl 2, but it’s really a mixed bag to me. I played both games only in single player modes, so my comparison only valid to that type of experience. First start with the positives. Graphic is somewhat nicer. The UI is straight up another level. You can basically set up the shown information or visuals in several categories as you want them. Do you want really unique colors to see the players better on the field or do you roll with the team’s standards? Do you want to see all the perks or do you want to see none of them? Do you want to see the category of the player marked by color? You can customize your team in more details than before. You can choose exact colors for your team, which previously was limited to predefined designs. I believe the dice rolls are more realistic in BB3 than in BB2. Yes, you can still have bad luck, but I saw it at the AI too. I think the player stats and rosters are more balanced. I believe you could push for more extreme tactics in BB2. This limitation helps to have better chances with all your wild tactics against others. Moving towards the negative thoughts; the limiting roster and more balanced stats helps only the newcomers, and kills the mood for experimentation. The game only has 12 teams in offline mode for the player to choose from. In single player campaign or in Eternal League the AI will use all the other available teams too. I’ve never ever thought before I bought the game to check the situation regarding the teams, because I couldn’t imagine it should’ve been necessary. At the moment you can buy or extremely slowly earn 11 additional teams if you have online profile and you play it in online mode even against AI too. You can never ever bring the bonus teams in the offline game to play them. In my opinion it’s really greedy to charge the same amount of money for the BB2 Legendary Edition with all the teams included and for the 12 teams in BB3. I can live with small team variation, but at the moment the Eternal League is a joke. You play against teams they’re pulled out of nowhere. They have a full balanced roster with all the important upgrades. They don’t really evolve with you or have injuries. If you kill or injure somebody it won’t matter at all, because the AI teams don’t play with the same rules as the player. The last nail in the single player’s coffin is the brain-dead AI. It doesn’t pass the ball at all even with passers. It always tries to run the whole field with the ball even with subpar player types too. You can easily scare the AI by putting players next to its runner, the AI will move from side to side in panic in each round. Even if the AI is loosing it’ll try to harm my players instead trying to score somehow to get better results. It’ll use the re-rolls sometimes way too early for dumb moves, but I saw many times the AI finish the game without using the doctor on the dead or injured players to save them. It extremely clear the developers didn’t even bother to create a good single player game at all. At the moment the game solely focuses on online play and micro-transactions, and it baits everybody who wants to play in offline mode with bare-bone single player options. For single player experience I would rather suggest to go with Blood Bowl 2 even with its shortcomings.
The previous game devs hated their work and audience, and I have no idea if people who play BB are on the whole suffering from a cuckoldry problem or that they are so starved for decent BB content that they force themselves to like this game. The assets used in this game are all the same ones from BB1 chaos edition and BB2. Literally. I am baffled. How scummy and lazy can you be? The amount of creativity this game lends you with any possible ideas for animations, customisation, management, tournaments, and the very fantasy itself, should lead to easy excellence in game design. Can you imagine playing a chaos team and picking the various tackle animations for injuries, armour breaks, K.O's, and pows?? Imagine a kroxigor supplexing a halfling. Imagine a Black Orc throwing out a Stone Cold Stunner on a Witch Elf. I really could go on, as the possibilities are almost endless. This is not even considering more "dynamic" ideas for tackle animation such as a cinematic depicting a Dwarven Slayer recreating a horrific blind side, "James Harrison" esque tackle on an unsuspecting Gobbo. Kick-off events don't actually happen, it's just a pop-up - "the fans rush the pitch". You could do so much with that, and have a toggle option for competitive play. Same goes for any event in the game: your player dies and it's just text on the screen, no unique block or armour break animation. But this game is creatively dead, and demands you pay for its awful "live service". Do you want a glowing glove for a single dwarven blocker?? Pay up, loser, it's in a battle pass in a game aimed at middle aged men. Oh, I almost forgot, that customisation option can only be used on ONE character, it's not like you have unlocked the cosmetic, you unlock a "ticket" to use the cosmetic once. I'm not joking. So you would expect the previous paragraph on all the myriad of ways to spice up the tackling to be somewhat a reality....no. No, you have the same animations play over, and over, and over again and they haven't changed in over a decade. You will watch the same chaos chosen player do the same drop kick every. single. time. Completely creatively bankrupt. There is next to no style, flare, excitement to customisation. No colour wheel. No saturation meter. No meaningful alternate equipment/body parts. I suppose it's so it doesn't get "confusing" but I've played LoL, overwatch and such and I'll be honest, if you're getting confused as to who is who because of a skin, you probably shouldn't be allowed to drive, and maybe, by extension - vote. I'm talking about something as simple as a lucha-libre mask, pants and boots for an ogre, or a cow skin pattern for a minotaur. Even simpler than that, you can't even change the face mask of your players, or the helmet for that matter, nor the pads or the uniform's actual design. You will look at the same kits forever. Imagine a human catcher and instead of the baseball glove, it's MJ's Diamante glove with a special animation where they moonwalk to catch the ball (maybe it's copyright infringement or something, but the point stands). This is fantasy football manager. That is the fundamental core of the game and should be so, but it isn't. I really want to go on but I would be here forever. These are gripes I have had since BB2 on the xbox 360, and I like to watch the streamers which is why I don't have many hours on this game. That and because it's ♥♥♥♥. Hopefully the new publisher will be more consumer friendly, maybe even ENJOY what they're working on, might be too much to ask. The last ones were inept - that is just a fact. Maybe, however, it is Cyanide's fault. Regardless of who sucks, I cannot believe how people still support this and don't want better. I know FUMBBL exists but come on... I'm not playing a browser game that looks like ♥♥♥♥ in 2026, even if the game itself plays far better than BB3. Also, the UI is incomprehensible and ♥♥♥♥ - the end.
