If it were possible to award developers steam achievements, Cyanide would deserve one for selling the same game thrice, and somehow managing to make each iteration worse than its predecessor. In blood bowl, you could customize individual players. That meant individual helmets / heads, and sometimes other visual elements, like shoulder pads. Progress was also visible, e.g. in the number of spikes on shoulder pads, helmets etc. You also had cheerleaders of your respective race corresponding to the number your team actually employed. And of course a fully functioning league system. Then came bloow bowl 2, and not only were you supposed to buy all the races again, but the only visual distinction between players of the same position were their heads, or, in some cases, their helmets. Everyone had a fixed number of human cheerleaders, regardless of the team's race. Recently, I found out that at some point after the release of blood bowl 3, all races were unlocked, as well as mixed teams, as well as the "ever league", basically a league system that allowed to take part in a series of tournaments, that would end in the blood bowl. Basically, what we had in the predecessor (blood bowl). Except, at some point the devs messed it up, so you can no longer finish a tournament, but must repeat the final game ad nausea. Judging by other player's comments, that has been a known issue for a good long while but never got touched once the devs focused their attention on blood bowl 3. If you want to know how that turned out, well, just read the reviews. AFAIK, their review average has always been "mixed", which is really all you need to know. Oh, and btw, the AI has been attrociously bad in all iterations. It will never recognise when it is go time, but will rather happily block as if there were no turn limit. And it cheats like there is no tomorrow. Difficulty setting merely affects how bad it cheats.

Honestly I do enjoy this game but it is complete bs that I have to be online to play and the amount of times that I win a match and the game doesn't save the result is unacceptable.

Eternal League progression is broken. It sometimes fails to register matches and makes you play the same opponent again, and the game you just played won't show in history. This bug has apparently been around for at least 8 years, so I wouldn't expect them to fix it now.
Better than BB3. Has almost everything you need. Graphics are great. Gameplay solid.
They broke single-player and eternal league 6 months ago and have yet to fix it let alone work on the third edition which sucks even more. Do not buy unless with a friend, this is a broken game that isn't even worth 5 dollars.
UI is slow, has arbitrary 10 second cooldown periods in the inducements menu despite the fact you can't abort, change or do anything else of value in that time so it's literally just a time waster, UI navidation is abormally simple (can't even press ESC to close a menu as was industry standard for decades now), the AI is stupid. Only enjoyable with friends in multiplayer and if you're a good sport about RNG screwing you over. Wouldn't even have said anything but apparently you can't just say you don't recommend a game without also posting a review so here you get the nitpicks. Now Steam can go get off my back! edit:// Oh and sometimes the game just doesn't count a match you played so you just wasted however long the game took. Took down a team 4-0 and farming SPPs for your players? Nuh-uh you didn't! I can watch the damn replay but as far the Eternal League (in singleplayer so I'm NOT waiting for an admin to validate the match!) is concerned I never played the game.
Great game, but you can't see your controls from the menu and the official guide/rule book for the game is on a website that has been down for years. Idk why they wouldn't just include these in the game or as free extra dlc for the game (lots of games do that).
I'm gonna be honest. I hate this stupid fn game. It might be fun playing against a human who is the same skill level you are but vs the AI this game is absolute garbage and uses weighted dice. My last match over 50% of my block rolls were skulls. The computer gets away with doing the absolute jankiest ♥♥♥♥ and always rolls better than I do. The end of the match statistics do not lie and my rolls are consistently far far worse than the computer. Just play it on the table. It's probably cheaper and definitely far less stressful. And at least I can see that my dice aren't weighted. Screw these devs, man.
