Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 8 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

5/10 at best due to it's unique design and gameplay potential. Overall story was okay, but side quests made little to no sense and had no relation to story. Reading text instead of animated characters with voices was also obnoxious and felt like 90s game. The game-play is fun especially Combo moves and combat variety are this is one of the best parts of the game, however, levelling up seems pointless since the entire world scales with you. Stats you earn don't help you at all. As the world scales, those little gains are nothing. Customizing weapons seems fun and had some potential i thought? But in short while i learn that you are overloaded with crazy amounts of useless loot making it less effective. You cannot break into scrap all weapons or items at once, waste of time breaking one piece of trash to pieces. World seems good at first but then every location seem similar and repetitive. You can tell that the devs started with a great idea, but then got bored of the game and just kept adding locations with no thought or spark of new ideas. The missions felts repetitive, similar and boring. (save the tree, destroy monsters, unite the tribes, find this, talk to this). I just felt like I was playing the same mission over and over. Following dots on map doing repetitive 5 tasks over and over again for full completion. Summary: Great Idea, Great Intention, Unique Design, Good Combat = Bad Delivery, Lazy development, Quick Cash and grab game.

Biomutant has all the ingredients to be an absolutely great ARPG - a large world to explore, plethora of quests and puzzles to complete, complex crafting system and plenty of character customisation. Unfortunately, what you end up with is a game that’s absolutely overloaded with side quests that the main story takes a back seat, a crafting and upgrade system that can largely be ignored, super easy puzzles, lots of baby talk from the characters (its how the mutants and narrator speak) and a simplistic combat system that generally has you performing the same few moves so you can spam the super move. This is likely a great game for younger players, though I can only recommend picking up on a heavily discounted sale. Story You play as the lost child of the deceased guardian of the tree of life, having survived outside the wall after your parents were savagely killed. With the guardian killed, her disciples splintered into separate clans, and have now started a tribe war against each other over the differences in their ideologies. To add to this, the world tree is dying, as its roots are being devoured by the 4 world eaters, giant monsters who eat anything that enters their habitat. Your survival outside the wall hails you as a potential saviour and someone who could kill the world eaters, and it’s up to you to do so, sort out the tribes and seek revenge for your parent’s killer. Gameplay After the short tutorial section, you are basically given free reign over how you want to tackle all of the above tasks, either seeking to exterminate or unite the tribes, deal with the world eaters, save or destroy the tree of life or seek vengeance for your parent’s murder. Unfortunately, with the amount of quests and tasks available, it’s very easy to completely ignore the main quest altogether (which you suffer no consequences in ignoring), and just explore the environment and do side quests for characters. This makes the main story lose its cohesion. Exploring is somewhat held in check in some areas by the environments and requires certain missions to be completed, such as exploring the coast (requires the boat), or the Mech for exploring the dead zone. Other areas require you to collect different clothing (or spend mutangic points on element resistance) so you can explore the more irradiated, frozen or toxic zones of the world. Some of the quests provide you with unique equipment that’s required to explore areas (such as a crowbar to opening doors, or a hammer fist for breaking down walls). Unfortunately, none of this is really differentiated from standard secondary quests until you speak to the quest giver, so you are somewhat forced into chatting with everyone and activating every quest. As you fight and complete quests you collect a plethora of experience, money and items. You get to upgrade bases character attributes (suck as luck, health or strength), have a separate skill tree pool to unlock additional attacks or bonuses to your class. You can spend mutagen points on gaining new powers, or increase your resistance to elemental damage. Additionally, you have Ki (moral) points which can unlock extra abilities. There is really no way you can’t customise a character into a playstyle you enjoy playing with, and you become ungodly powerful after a few hours of playing. The crafting system allows you to pretty much upgrade any weapon or piece of armour you find, and its criminal how unused it is in this game. Combat starts out fun, but after unlocking a few moves will become repetitive. Fights are generally smallish battles, where there will be 8 or so small mob enemies, and a few bigger boss enemies. You can quickly blow through these, once you know what you are doing which starts making these very monotonous. There are tougher monster fights, which bring something interesting to break up the standard battles, and reward unique loot. Boss fights are all unique, and rely on a gimmick for that area (being the boat, mech ect) and you can experience quite humours death scenes if you fail in them. Graphics The graphics are really good. There’s plenty of different biomes to wander through, from grasslands, ruined cities, coastal areas, mountainous, snowy, desert and subterranean. The grass is wavy when a breeze blows in game, and you have pretty much full customisation on how your character looks (for the junk you collect). There’s a full day and night cycle, with different enemies appearing at certain times and some quests requiring certain times of the day to activate. Factor in the different toxic environments which are encased in a fog that corresponds to the type of toxin and there’s plenty to see. The graphics (along with character customisation) are the highlights of the game. Music I think the speech in this game is what will give everyone pause. While in game it makes perfect sense to have the characters speak like 2 year olds (they are mutants who have picked up bits of language and made up the rest), and its narrated quite well, it really becomes grating after a while. There are options to change how often you have to hear it, but unless you’re a 6-year-old I’d recommend dialling it down or turning it off. In contrast the music is quite good, switching between a combat track (when you are in or about to enter a fight), and reverts when you are back to being safe and exploring the environment. Achievements All of the Achievements are easy to collect naturally, with 4 of them needing certain actions to be performed during boss fights. Very boring game. Here is the gist of this game. Enter an area, spam left and right mouse buttons to kill the enemies, move on to the next area and repeat. That is the basic idea of the game.
for the life of me i tried to like the game i loved the narrator outside of public opinion about it its the combat that bored me tbh the bosses are OP to the point of frustration
Quite a good game, little childish, but it was fine. Adventure on it's own. :)
this is a very hesitant recommendation, specifically for people who are old enough to have lived through the sixth generation of consoles. biomutant feels, mechanically and visually, like a remaster of a game that came out in 2004, and i think that if it had been released then it would have been the game of that generation for a lot of people. it's a 2021 title, though, and so while the character handling and kitchen-sink approach to abilities evoke some nostalgia it would be just as easy to call them amateurish or half-baked by modern standards. similarly, the map is quite big! it's also pretty empty feeling, and exploration of points of interest comes down to rushing through looking for interactive spots. and yet...there's something here. against my better judgment sometimes i'm finding myself having a pretty good time with it. the writing is atrocious even by video game standards, with a bunch of seussian nonsense blather piled on top of worldbuilding that i cannot even begin to try to care about. fortunately you can mash buttons to skip listening to gross furries babble about collecting doodoo puffs in the stinklewinkle or whatever and then get back to fighting stuff. final word: if you're an oldhead who wants to look into an alternate universe where a playstation 2 mascot platformer got spun off into an RPG, yeah, this is probably worth five or ten bucks...a fine price to feel young again for a few days of gamin'.
i feel like most critics and reviews went way too hard on this game. It got much more hate than it deserved. so going in i was expecting it to be slop. But thankfully i was pleasantly suprised, ended up actually enjoying the game Graphics/world: 10/10 adorable characters and a vibrant world story: 4/10 the story made sense, was engaging enough to follow along. it just seemed kinda boring and felt like the writing was rushed through. fortunately it doesnt get in the way of enjoying the game. in my opinion this is a great game if you wanna just relax and casually explore, where you can just turn your brain off after a long day and have a good time. Combat: 9/10 . very fluid, engaging, and can be challenging when it needs to. you have a variety of special abilities and weapon types. crafting 10/10: the crafting system is fantastic, my favorite part of the game character customization 9/10: the attributes you pick when creating your character affect its physical appearance. and there's a MASSIVE amount of upgradeable clothing and armor to choose from as well. the character leveling and progression system is great as well. my biggest complaint is the dialogue. the narrator translates every interaction, while i dont mind the narrator itself, it just removes alot of personality and depth from the characters and makes interacting with npcs feel very flat and dull. also the main story is relatively short but theres HOURS and HOURS of side quests. the map design is nice but i just feel like its much bigger than it should be. if they made the main story 30% longer, removed maybe 1/3 of the side quests and 1/4 of the map. it would be more balanced in my opinion and add much more replay value. although im enjoying my current playthrough of biomutant. i dont see myself starting a new game any time soon. since i got this as a gift. im giving the game a score purely based off my experience playing it. and im not factoring the price into my review Review Score x/10: I give it a 7/10 overall. it kept me hooked. Playing It brought back nostalgia of old ps1 era games that were quirky, colorful, fun to explore, and very whimsical and unserious. all of which apply to Biomutant as well. This is a game where you can relax after a long day and just have fun, mess around, and explore. Biomutant asks very little from you. knowledge of the story/lore is not needed to follow along and understand what's going on so to speak. the story is kinda barebones. now its time to talk about value and pricing. alot of reviewers had AAA $60 expectations for this game, which is why this game got such bad press and harsh reviews. if this was an indie game that was 1/3 the price, it would have a much better reputation. anyways... should yall buy it? full price? NO, not worth it. on sale? YES! at 50% off, its actually worth the money
🦝 Mixed / Recommended — Biomutant A colorful open-world action RPG with mutant animals, martial arts combat, and extensive character customization. 💥 Highlights: Unique post-apocalyptic world with animal characters Mix of melee combat, guns, and mutant powers Deep character and weapon customization Large open world with exploration and mounts ✔️ Pros: Beautiful and creative art style Fun customization system Relaxing exploration and freedom Interesting mix of combat styles ❌ Cons: Storytelling and narration can feel repetitive Open world sometimes feels empty Combat lacks depth compared to top RPGs ⭐ Verdict: 👉 Worth playing if you enjoy colorful open-world RPGs, exploration, and customization, but don’t expect a masterpiece-level story or combat system.
