About
Between the Stars is a space action game with RPG growth and real time combat that places you at the helm of an interstellar cruiser. Your mission will be to protect civilization from the Children of the Sun, a faction that dominates border planets and seeks to expand. In order to undertake your mission you must journey across the galaxy, face new challenges at each warp jump, and make difficult decisions that affect your ship, crew and the universe around you, while upgrading your ship's equipment and fighting in battles to survive.

The good: A fun Star Trek-lite style action adventure with some RPG elements and space shoot-em-up. The story is presented in a sort of Visual Novel style where you shoot enemy ships and fly around space in-between story beats. The shooting up flying around part is endless with procedurally generated missions. The graphics are pretty. The writing is at times incredible, and I enjoyed the plot twists. Other times, it is rather odd, as if it were poorly translated from another language, or hastily added in by a completely different writer. The bad: It is a bit shallow, lacks balance with the weapons and items, and is quite buggy, requiring restarts whenever a mission glitches out. The voice acting is spotty, sometimes totally normal, other times acted like a children's Saturday morning cartoon. 7/10

Salut jeu intéressant mais: +histoire intéressante +évolution des vaisseaux et de l'équipage, achats de vaisseaux se font sur les planètes +modélisation modérée des vaisseaux: possibilité de le renommer et changer l'écusson et la couleur +grandes variétés de vaisseaux -combats spatiaux 10-15 vaisseaux, lags -personnage modélisé 3d mais ne sert à rien dans l'environnement du jeu, cela me rappelle d'autres jeux -triche du jeu, combat avec un croiseur à qui il restait 1% pendant 5min en combat intensif, tout y est passé: canons plasma "casse bouclier", neutralisation par IEM, missile nucléaire, assisté de 2 vaisseaux alliés, et ben rien il n'a pas bougé des 1%, et à ce pourcentage il reste tout aussi combatif qu'à 100%, donc vraiment peu réaliste de ce côté là, moi à 1% si j'arrive à appuyer sur la gâchette c'est vraiment de la chance, en plus il doit y avoir des nombreux compartiments sans énergie et sans atmosphère ;) Bon jeu, pour les vaillants ;)

Very good base game, simple UI, needs more depth.
got the game on sale. is not perfect and has many bugs but still completed the story and found it enjoyable.
So I got this game before the full release and I finally got time to play it after the full release and man I did not expect a story like that.
Pretty solid game start to finish. Voice acting could have been better, but buried within that is a good story. Combat takes a bit of getting used to, and some bugs persist, but overall - solid game.
