인크리멘탈 장르에 공포 요소를 접목한 게임. 다만 인크리멘탈 게임이라 치기에는 장르 특유의 느낌이 꽤 간편화되어 있고, 공포 게임이라 말하기에는 분위기적인 면으로 공포 요소를 주는 편이라, 공포 게임을 별로 좋아하지 않는 사람도 즐길 수 있을 것 같아 보인다. (물론 갑툭튀가 아예 없지는 않고, 아주 살짝, 정말 살짝 존재하는 느낌이다.) 공식 한국어가 없으며 유저 한글 패치는 게임을 다운그레이드해야 적용할 수 있다. 다만, 한글 패치 없이 해도 못 알아먹을 정도의 영어는 아니다. 스토리가 명확하고 준비된 퀴즈의 해답 또한 확실하다. 일반적인 공포 게임이 암시를 통해 스토리를 전개하는 것을 생각한다면 이보다 더 확실한 내용은 요 근래의 공포게임 중에서는 찾기 힘들다. 그러나 퀴즈의 해답이 확실한 것과 반대되게, 그 해답을 풀기 위한 명제 자체가 다소 이해하기에 난해하다. 설명이 더 있었다면 좋았을 텐데...... 아무튼 재미있게 했다! 오랜만의 공포게임이었다. 이와는 별개로 인크리멘탈 장르 특성상 중독성이 정말 뛰어나다.

What can I say about Berry Bury Berry? Its a great incremental game, it didnt feel like a struggle to get to the end and I genuinely had a great time working out the lore and related puzzles, it didnt even feel like 12 hours of gameplay to get the 100%. If you like incrementals, this is a GREAT addition to the genre
A fun tycoon game that is definitely not a horror game in disguise with secrets to reveal and a mystery to uncover. You saw the tags on steam, you probably know exactly what this game is and it does not really try to hide it either. At first you are tossing berries into a hole, collecting coins, enjoying the nice and serene atmosphere...and then boom, complete and utter darkness. Quite the stark contrast that made for a cool and spooky moment, however...the horror does not really go much further beyond that, and that is my main issue with this game. While there are some somewhat dark themes and moments to be found in this game, it never really becomes truly scary, or even unsettling. The creepiest moment in the entire game is that very first night, because you don't know what awaits you. But after that there is barely any real horror to be found, just some ominous moments here and there. The main gameplay loop is very fun though. At first you slowly toss one berry after the other down the hole, and by the end you have the hole become an unending fountain of money, with an army of little berry guys constantly feeding it and making it grow larger and larger. The puzzles that you can find were also pretty fun. I managed to do them all without guides, which means they are fairly simple, but looking out for them is still a lot of fun, and solving them is pretty satisfying. If you like tycoon games then you should definitely give this one a go, but don't expect some super scary horror masterpiece. 7.5/10
