About

Beasts of Bermuda is a multiplayer survival game in which the player is a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature. A player can take the role of flyers, swimmers, herbivores, carnivores, and semi-aquatic creatures that fulfill different niches in the ecosystem. No matter what the player chooses to be, the objective of the game is to survive and grow up on the islands of Bermuda by using their particular creature's abilities. Predation from other players as well as intense environmental events are the antagonistic forces in the game the player must survive against.
There are currently three game modes in Beasts of Bermuda.

In Free Roam game mode the player selects a creature of choice and spawns into the world as a juvenile of that species. They must survive and gradually grow larger over time. As growth accumulates, they also earn talents, which can be spent to enhance different aspects of your creature's capabilities. In this mode growth is slower but resource management is easier.
In Life Cycle game mode the player selects a creature and spawns into the world as a juvenile of that species. You must survive and grow larger in a fast paced growth setting. As growth accumulates, you will earn talents to enhance different aspects of your creature's capabilities. After 1.32 growth you can choose to enter a stage called Gauntlet, where the difficulty of the game increases with growth in the form of food, water, and ailment management. In this mode growth is faster but resource management is harder. Compete on a monthly leaderboard to earn the top growth ranking for your species!
In Combat game mode players are pitted against one another with mechanics that are designed to reward conflict. Servers can use Deathmatch Maps which are smaller with close together spawn locations. The player spawns in as an adult creature of their choice and can accrue more talent points by killing other players and stealing their points. The game mode is endless and uses points and kill/death ratios to show who reigns supreme on the server.

the only good thing about this game is the snake, if it didnt have the snake it wouldnt have half the playerbase. servers are run by adult-children that will cry if you do anything they dont like physics are A$$ fighting is A$$ graphics are 5/10 i tried to like this game but its hard when there are so many better options for dino survival games. oh and hackers are alive and well and it seems like they could care less about it.
This is a 3/10 game maybe. There are many technical and gameplay issues let alone the dead playerbase. Stuttering, desync, crashes, server disconnections. The gameplay is slow and boring. There is one official server with any players on it. I got DC'd from it after like 5 minutes, and I could not reconnect. Then I got on one of the two community servers with any players on it. I played for 2 hours and went around only finding groups of dinos sitting in circles stationary. I ran around forever, eventually I attacked one, and I immediately got banned for "attacking on a chill server." I have the screenshots but don't know if I can put them in a review. I was clipping through the map constantly, getting stuck, and the only combat experience I had with someone sitting there. I do not recommend this game to anyone. Path and Isle are both better.

I truly used to enjoy this game. I need to see change before I change my mind.
Can't suggest this game currently. Too much drama with the dev team and not enough work caring about the players. A lot of bugs, and instead of fixing them the dev team releases NEW content adding MORE bugs. Oh, and here is another plushy none of you asked for.
Since I have to leave my feedback to tell people to stay away. Please note, if you want proof of any claims made, please read reviews from the former staff/developers (such as Cinder, a tech for them) and a Tumblr called 'bobullshit' that a community member made so that the evidence could not be silenced during the ban waves. Otherwise, note this is also personal experience over years and years. However, please do your research before investing in this game or coming to an opinion.; - Bad team, supporting predators, with a clique mindset. Whether they're good people? Not the point and not for me to judge, but I do not think so if they keep screwing up with little to no regard of who supports their game, but community feedback comes last, which means unless someone in their sphere likes your ideas, they're not being added to the game Imo. Even if you believe they are nice people making major mistakes, they chase away good people who would bend over backwards for them and are a PR nightmare. (see former staff reviews (such as Cinderfyre or Lifeon, former techs or devs, or just former reviews from players who can confirm retired staff accounts of mistreatment) - No financial transparency. I think the developers do deserve some funds, but all the funds go to them rather than the game it seems, and so far, the only thing the community can confirm is it has went to expensive vacations, such as the one to Peru recently they banned people for mentioning and now another vacation, and maybe groceries. If they were more financially transparent, which apparently there are reasons they cannot be, people wouldn't feel the need to hound them about vacations. Then there's huge issues I've seen where they are not proactive with privacy concerns, both their own and others. - Game wise? It's this group vs that group or clan. Officials are run "case by case", and while I do not believe the rules change drastically, there's little to no clarifications or things hidden behind fake privacy policies or policies we are not allowed to see, so no transparency with the community, and we are just supposed to jump hoops to do our best to follow the rules. As much as I would like to say there is no favoritism behind the scenes, I can confirm from many sources that those higher up or those who know those with a bright red name or their clique get benefit of doubt, ofc. Case in point, they will be shocked to hear that so and so did something because hey, that person is not typically like that, that they know. - I feel like there are a lot of good updates but a lot of updates that are common sense or slap the community in the face, whether they did not ask for the update or it was the opposite of what they asked. A big one right now is the community screaming about skins, and I get the legal obligation the developers feel they must uphold, but they do not even try to meet in the middle. Again, every time community screams, they are a PR nightmare and ignore the community until it boils over or sweeps under rug. Will add on or edit if I think of any more, but for now, not really trying to write a book. Want my advice? Stay away. If you're not in their group, they do not care about you. They care about their echo chamber.
cool dino roster but mechanics are terrible and most make 0 sense whatsoever the growth system is also half assed take 20min to reach full grown but your still the size of an infant. snakes that can dolphine jump through the water and the scent tells you where players are before you even can smell them so really no sense in calling it a scent finder it just pulls up the compass with players highlighted
For starting out this game is really well. However as you progress with your growth times, playing with friends, and spend a good amount of time on the game and servers. You realize that there is alot of desych with the game play, hackers that come back in and out. Server owners not taking immediate actions to listen to their own community especially those who play the game to back up claims of cheating. its a deep black whole of waste of time after any X value of time you spend on the game. Also the buffs and nerfs make the dinos really horrible.
Man, RIP if my friends (who also used to play this) see this review knowing how much fun it used to be But, honestly, as someone who bought this game back in 2020, or somewhere around the 2020 timeframe, it's been depressing to see how the playerbase has dwindled due to it stagnating. The entire thing is just one massive grindfest, only really rewarding the people who have the time to sit with the game open for hours on end. Inherits are a grind, skins are a grind, growth is a grind. The growth is probably the worst part, given every playable is on automatic permadeath. You can lose a dinosaur you've grown for a year in a matter of seconds because someone else has more time to sink into it, or because they're just legit hacking. It's also just... Boring. I think I can count on my fingers how many notable mechanics this game has. It genuinely feels as if the developers have given up on this project. I don't know if they just lost hope or got busy or what, but this is NOT worth spending your money on. I used to have a lot of fun with the game, primarily because my friends would play it too, but since there's nothing to draw people back (and I mean nothing at all), it's just a husk of what it was at it's peak of popularity. Just play Path of Titans. You won't permanently lose an insanely huge playable due to unfair advantage and it has more to do other than sit around and grow.
This game isn't worth your time. Find better games. Don't waste your time on this one. You'll be disappointed with the people you play with. And you'll also lose big dinosaurs.
I got the game hopes on an OFFICIAL server grew to 1.23 then realize I needed meat for a diet killed a player to get meat to eat then got kick form and OFFICIAL server for fighting and eating to survive in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ survival game -10/10 wouldn’t recommend and cause of the stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2 hour rule with steam I basically just got scammed and steam is alright with it
