great game so far from game freak sound great combat system also good story also great.
crash crash crash
So this game is a bit like Sekiro in terms of movement and combat. You have no fall damage but you can't be in deep water. With combat your first parry is very easily done but the next one needs to be timed perfectly. You can also start blocking mid slash like in Sekiro. But you also have combo attacks, spells and your pet wolf also has abilities. So far I have been able to get in a sneak attack on almost all bosses and Elite units. Just gotta come from the right direction so that is fun. Story is okay. You're not going to get a hyper action dialog game here. Main character is basically heartless and has no emotions. Or at least not early on. Your first new companion into the walker is a girl who has first experience with kindness is when we tried to give her a fruit. The ghost buddy can so far only talk to the main character. But overall I am enjoying it. I haven't had any performance issues and I run it in native. But I got a pretty powerful system too so not sure how it holds up on older hardware.
Enjoyable game. It has some issues : Enemy variety is.. bad.. really bad.. after the first 2 levels of the game you saw all there is when it comes to normal enemies. Bosses are reused a bit too often and 2nd phases dont add anything.. its basically phase 1 again with maybe one new attack.. sometimes i couldnt tell the difference. Combat felt nice most of the time, but some parry timings felt weird. I overall liked the combat, you get alot of attacks, but most of them feel useless.. it doesnt matter that much what you use (i played on hard difficulty so its maybe worse on easier ones) Exploration is weird. I would like it if the game would would had more to find.. after half the game i maxed out almost every collectable that levels up the base.. i mean the whole style cries for : OUTFITS. right? There are none. Music is... i mean.. i really loved the music, it was great but.. its a shame that you hear the same tracks over and over again. It would be nice if bosses have different music.. and levels had their own. Boss music was underwhelming and exploration music gets boring pretty fast. But i gotta say, the final music tracks (level, boss, epiloge) are realy really good. Performance is.. it ran without issues on my PC, but the way it looks it SHOULD run way better, so there are issues. BUT.. I really enjoyed the game. I found the characters and story are really good, it kept me going. It starts a bit slow, but towards the end it gets really interesting. I think somewhere in this game and the whole concept sleeps a pure gem, that is just really rough. I reccommend giving it a chance with the right expectations - It is a really enjoyable journey overall
first off, the majority of negative reviews are from people who never got past the prologue, you got people who are leaving negative reviews for no english dubs when there is, people saying the cutscenes are locked at 24 FPS when again, theres a setting that unlocks it, there are people who say the optimization is bad when thier pc doesnt even meet the minimum requirements, or how the OST plays 1 song over and over which is factually false, even in the prologue i heard different songs infact i heard less musical variety in stellar blades first zone, talking about how enemy variety is bad even tho they have only played the prologue lol the game isnt perfect, some valid criticism are out there such as the blurry or low rez textures but thats about it, people are also saying the characters are bland or boring, when the whole point of the story is the main character emma finding her humanity again, so in the beginning shes much less emotional and not super expressive. i think the combat isnt the best but its not nearely as bad as people claim it to be, the hits DO feel weighty and so does the blocks. overall iv been having fun in the game and im enjoying the story, if you want stellar blade mixed with wild hearts with a slower story this game is def worth it.
This game is mad underwhelming on every level the visuals suck the music is extremely repetitive I cant stand this bland boring MC they should have made her a cyborg! People keep saying the combat is the best and that's the only part of the game that's better than the rest its a 6/10 when it comes to combat there's nothing new about it the camera is trash the enemies theres only like 5 of them the story is boring slow and lazy. There are WAY better games we ALL brought this because we wanna see what GAMEFREAK can do. Nintendo needs to put a collar on GAMEFREAK because they are not good at making anything other than handheld cute Pokémon games and even those are fallin off. I really wish I could get my money back but oh well.
