I'd always been of the opinion that Bruce Wayne was cool but kind of lame. Then I played this game in 2016 and unlocked a lifelong obsession with Batman comics. And also Bruce Wayne. Yippee
Quality virtual novel overall. It certainly isn't on the same level as The Walking Dead, but definitely still entertaining with a lot of fun elements. The best parts of this first season were Harvey and Selina's characters. Both were written especially well and I liked the content provided for both. Harvey's arc and relationship with Bruce genuinely stands out to me among a lot of virtual novel type content I've played in the past. Also, character design is particularly notable. Batman's suit is arguably my personal favorite out of all the suits I've seen for the character. I am writing this after just starting the second and final season of this series. Let me say that it's immediately obvious that the second season is significantly more fleshed out and cinematic. It's fantastic so far. Assuming the second season goes well, I'd absolutely recommend the series as a whole. It's different getting to play a VN that is based off of characters you already know from past media; adds a unique dynamic to your decision making. 7.5/10 for the first season.

Another great game by Telltale. A bit on the shorter side; I was able to finish the whole game in about 15 hours of playtime. Of course, it being a Batman game drifts it towards more action and investigative storytelling rather than the deep drama that was The Walking Dead. The way they introduced some of the familiar faces is a bit different than you would expect, but overall works out with how the story unfolds. On the technical side, this game (in my experience) had the least amount of glitches out of most of the Telltale games, including The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which was released years after this. Everything looks and feels smooth. This game does have a lot more action in it, meaning there is much more quick time events taking place that made everything that much more stressful. Overall it's not bad; the story didn't have me emotional like TWD series did, but that's not needed for a game like this. This story still had me on the edge of my seat in various areas, definitely recommend picking it up.
