Batman - The Telltale Series

Хочу сказать следующее: Перевод крайне отвратителен. За него я бы поставил 2 из 10 баллов. Во-первых, то мужчины вдруг женский род поимели, то к женщинам вдруг на "он" обращаются. Во-вторых, местами, не появлялись субтитры, а где-то вообще оставили без перевода. И в третьих, была ситуация, когда у тебя был выбор: сделать одно действие, сделать другое действие и сделать ещё раз одно действие. Я имею в виду, что вроде выбора 3, но по сути первый и третий написан одинаково. Да и местами не понятно, какие действия требует от тебя выбор, Порой не понятно. Что касается выбора, его тут нет. Это иллюзия выбора, но по правде говоря, тут всё строится на том, что от твоего выбора меняется не сюжет, а отношение к тебе, но сюжет уже зараннее в целом написан. Оптимизация дерьма конченного. Хоть мой комп и дерьмо, но он выше, чем требует минимальные настройки. Мой отзыв положительный только благодаря работе сценаристов. Сюжет пускай и относительно линейный, но шикарно написаный, интересный, а персонажи все до единого харизматичные, многосторонние, а не как обычно в фильмах марвел есть зло, есть добро и всё тут. Я получал огромное наслаждение от сюжета и готов вскоре купить продолжение. Надеюсь, оно такое же шикарное, но и при этом лишина хотя бы технических изъянов.

I really wish I could give this game a neutral review as I didn't completely dislike it. If I had to give it a number rating, it would be a 5/10 for me. Ultimately, I just felt like the game tried way too hard to be different. I can definitely appreciate changing things up and believe me, I love a good twist, but the story genuinely felt like it was all over the place. I felt like I was constantly having things thrown at me that were never followed up on. The idea of the Wayne's possibly being corrupt and Bruce not knowing was initially a very strong plot twist and I was all for it, but the game never really went anywhere with it other than to use it as a reason for people randomly hate Bruce despite the fact that he is not his father which he states adnauseum. The game gives you a little bit about what his father did, but never really goes into WHY. What was the point? I personally did not like the game's version of the Penguin at all. His design made him look painfully average to the extent that if the game hadn't told us that he was the penguin, I would've never known. The mask was a cool touch, but he hardly wore it. He initially met with Bruce and went on a whole speech about a "revolution", only to never expand upon that at all. Instead he returns and is somehow just handed over Wayne Enterprises because "Bruce's dad was a bad man therefore we must punish Bruce". He then just becomes Lex Luthor for the remainder of the game for some reason, and practically gives up and lets himself just get arrested in the final fight despite being described as a "skilled fighter". As others mentioned, the game did feel like it was steering you towards a certain narrative despite what you choose. Choosing to be merciful during interrogations still made people react as if you murdered someone in cold blood. This is a personal nitpick, but I was quite annoyed by the large hulking zombie henchman who I later discovered was Blockbuster from a Google search. I wouldnt normally complain if he didn't stick out like a sore thumb. He literally towers over everyone in the game. We even have a brief fight with him, yet we are never given his identity. We can even approach him in Arkham Asylum, and even then, we still don't get a name. I'm not familiar with the original character, but after looking him up and doing a comparison, he looks nothing like any of the variations of his character, so I genuinely don't understand why his identity was just skipped. Vicky being the main villain was an interesting twist but once again, it fell flat pretty quickly once it started going down the "People hurt me so I'm gonna hurt people" route. On top of that, the story completely dumps all of the earlier bits by that point. Who made the dr*g? What WAS it? What was her plan coming from HER own mouth, not the speculation that Batman pieces together. I wanted to know why she was doing it and how she came up with the idea! All in all, if you're a diehard batman fan, you may find yourself getting disappointed at some points. I personally would suggest watching someone else play it and buy it on a sale.

This is the first telltale game i have ever played and the game mechanics is really unique with how the story tailors to you choices and adapts to it. Batman and the villains in this game are also very endearing and memorable, it really feels like i am actually in the universe interacting with these characters. The Telltale artstyle is also very pleasant to look at and i stunning at times. Sadly, the studio is gone, really hoping for its resurgence in the future. Edit: One thing i really wished is that they could've made a choice for us to stay hidden in Selina's bedroom without being caught either way, i know its a plot device for harvey to turn bad but then it kinds of turn against their "Story tailored according to your choices" marketing even if it is just this one bit. If however you choose you still end up getting caught by Harvey. Heck, if not just let us have a choice to confess to Harvey about being Batman would also have been nice.
