It's the first game of the Arkham series, so of course the gameplay is a bit less refined, but I must say I really like this game.
The esthetic and even the music really screams Comics Batman or some sorts of an old Batman TV show from the 2000s and I really like this. In general, the atmosphere of the game in the Arkham Asylum is really well done, it's dark, claustrophobic and kind of horror-like, and this also include how they portrayed some of the vilains, especially Scarecrow and Killer Crow that are really done right.
It is also one of the few games that respects your time, with a platinum that is just long enough that it stays interesting without feeling too long.
Now, let's be honest, the game can sometimes show its age, some of the controls are a bit clunky and the boss fights are really poor, and that can really be hard to get used to if you came from the later games, but if you begin the series with this game as we did, it shouldn't hit you as hard.

C'est le premier jeu de la série, donc le gameplay est un peu plus bancal, mais franchement j'aime beaucoup ce jeu.
L'esthétique et la musique donnent vraiment une ambiance d'un Batman de Comics ou d'une série télé des années 2000 and j'aime beaucoup. De manière générale, l'atmosphère de l'asyle d'Arkham est vraiment bien faite, c'est sombre, claustrophobique et presque un peu horreur, and c'est aussi à travers comment ils ont géré certains des méchants, surtout l'Epouvantail et Killer Croc qui sont vraiment bien fait.
C'est aussi un des rare jeu qui respecte votre temps, parce que le platinum est juste assez long pour que ca reste intéressant sans devenir répétitif.
Bon après, si on est honnête, le jeu montre son âge, le gameplay n'est pas très fluide and les combats de boss sont un peu faibles, ce qui peut vraiment être compliqué si vous avez commencé par les jeux suivants. Mais si vous commencez par celui là, ca devrait moins vous choquer.
