Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

BG2 will always be my Game Of The Year All Years. With that said the new content added in EE by Beamdog are ATROCIOUS. It really is low quality in all shape and form, I wish they never did that. Such an unfortunate taint in an otherwise a masterpiece of a videogame.
A follow-up to the wonderful Baldur's Gate, now filled with even more lore, characters, locations to visit, quests to find and do, a new ensemble of companions to recruit, with a few returning ones such as the lovable Minsc, and his Giant Space Hamster, Boo! Baldur's Gate 2 also includes much more voice acting, which personally helps convey the mood and feelings of the character you are speaking to, and it makes the romantic conversations that you have with the character you are romancing much more meaningful. The voice acting is great as well, but if there is a gripe I have about it, I really wish they hadn't changed Minsc's battle cry, where he yells for Boo to go for the eyes. Like in my review for Baldur's Gate, this game still suffers from some of the shortcomings of the first game. The main issue is your character, and their party's pathfinding is still pretty bad. This makes getting through doors, looting chests, and getting around certain obstacles a pain, plus on occasion, everyone just loves to get stuck in each other! Oh yeah, the slow movement can make getting around bigger areas a slog. Another thing is that while the romance in Baldur's Gate 2 is a lot more fleshed out, it can be buggy, as I had to manually spawn NPCs to further the romance questline for Jaheira, and even then, I still had to use a couple more console commands to continue the quests. Like in the first game, I recommend playing the game on story mode for your first playthrough to take in the story and learn the game. As for the "Throne of Bhaal" DLC, I very much enjoy this more than Siege of Dragonspear, since at least the events of the DLC are mentioned in the third game, whereas no mention was ever made about the events of Siege of Dragonspear. The DLC included a new location called "Watcher's Keep" to visit either in the base game or the DLC. It's more opportunities for new gear, extra XP, more lore, and a pretty cool final boss! It's honestly much better than Durlag's Tower. Now, compared to the first Baldur's Gate, at least for my initial playthrough, the second game is a tad shorter, even when I did everything that I could. Not that it is a bad thing, plus if you did play the first game, including Siege of Dragonspear, you already have a pretty high-level character that can pretty easily breeze through at least the beginning to near the mid-point of the game. Amn's Map is a lot smaller than the Sword Coast, and the same with the map in the "Throne of Bhaal" DLC. Again, not a bad thing. In conclusion, Baldur's Gate 2 is a much more fleshed-out experience compared to the first game, but both are still recommended plays for anyone who wishes to know more of Baldur's Gate lore! It felt great to see the moments in Baldur's Gate 3 that made nods to both the first and second games. 8.7/10! Oh! I like the character portraits in this game better.

The game is great, but what Beamdog did to it it's not worth it.
Very fun to replay

I seriously don't understand why people find the Baldur's Gate series so enjoyable. Nothing but save, try, attempt, save again, over and over. It is one of the most overhyped games out there. I get the nostalgia of D&D, but people are just lying to themselves. The game is unplayable due to the frustration. The entire series. Who has fun trying a different strategy five or ten times??? And hitting pause every ten feet is not my idea of a great game.
Quite probably the pinnacle of second edition D&D computer (vs tabletop) gaming, this thing has eaten up months of my life, and that was BEFORE the Enhanced Edition came along years after the original release. The sidequests can take you all over the place, and some of the romances will rip at your heartstrings. We get to meet the second-most famous Drow character in the world, Viconia DeVir, a survivor of Driz'zt Do'Urden's family's assault in the book Homeland (It helps to know the actual history of the Forgotten Realms) And you get to meet Driz'zt and his Companions of The Hall and can even recruit them in a particularly dangerous fight! Start with the first game, the one that changed FRPGs back when half of you weren't even a roll of your parents' dice. Do this one. THEN go forward with the newest additions... Trust me.
Tanta roba per me. https://youtu.be/CjnVzmzDLcI
I would say this is the best cRPG, but you all know that already 10/10
