An epic supernatural horror adventure and the spiritual successor to cult classic Scratches set in a massive, decaying mental institute. Inspired by H. P. Lovecraft, Hammer Films and twisted Euro Horror from the 80s.

About
From the creators of cult sleeper hit Scratches and the haunting Serena, comes a chilling journey into the darkest depths of your mind.
ASYLUM is an ambitious first-person horror adventure casting you into the hallucinatory setting of the Hanwell Mental Institute. As an ex-patient suffering bizarre visions, you must explore the intricate layout of the building, research its past history, and march towards a shocking conclusion.
With influences ranging from Peter Cushing to Lucio Fulci, ASYLUM has been meticulously crafted with a strong focus on storytelling and atmosphere. Visit countless tenebrous environments, make your way through a towering, lifelike mental hospital, and solve compelling puzzles to find the answers you seek.
We poured our heart and soul into creating an involving and endlessly rewarding adventure. If you love the kind of slow-burning horror with an old-school sensibility that creeps upon you, ASYLUM will be an unforgettable experience.

A mind-bending original storyline that we somehow managed to keep secret during 15 years of production.
Around 10 hours of gameplay — and that's without learning all the dark secrets!
An atmosphere so engrossing you will almost smell the stench of decrepitude and putrefaction around you.
Exciting challenges rewarding your wit and observation.
Memorable soundtrack inspired by 80s horror films and quite a bit of John Carpenter.
No jump scares! OK, maybe just a frightening handful that will hit you when you least expect them.
Diegetic interface and other buzz words.

Znakomita historia, niesamowita miejscówka, klimat szpitala psychiatrycznego z koszmaru oddany w stu procentach.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've waited years to play this after Scratches was a childhood favorite. I found this game incredibly terrifying and I love it dearly. Highly recommend.
While overall "ok" jsut too many things are annoying to recommend this. Most notably the storytelling which is so bad.... The story itself is fine, but the way it is told is terrible. Contstantly repeating the same information across long notes you find everywhere, terrible voice acting and dialogues that make no sense, especially that firstz dialogue with jkulia right at the start of the game made no sense at all. The UI as many people said is terrible, and as nice as it is to rename basic UI setting to "lore appropriate terms", its really better to not do that. Still have no idea what "Reaction time" is supposed to do. Also if you have any "modern" screen (from this decade...) the game barely works. It refused to go into window mode for me, keep the correct resolution, showed only half the screen etc. A simple point and click game really shouldnt have that many bugs. On the upside: the atmosphere is generally good and if you are into lovecraftian stuff, there are a lot of details and hints.
♡
REALLY liked this one! senscape is amazeballs and playing asylum made me miss and appreciate scratches. the 'puzzles' weren't too hard and the story had me tripping balls. justice for group e and julia idgaf!
Einfach grandios!
fk up this game, guys
