I played entire game on Ubisoft platform (for 50 hours) before I bought the Steam version. Because on Ubisoft Platform you cannot write an review, so I bought the game again at steam sale only for write this review. Story: As an Assassin's Creed game, it's the worst. It shouldn't have had Assassin's Creed as its title. It has the mechanics borrowed from previous titles, but it doesn't have the Creed, it doesn't have the philosophy, it doesn't have the immersion, it doesn't have a story that follows the evolution of an assassin. The main character is not a role model. He has charm, he has personality, but he doesn't have moral values ​​like Connor, Ezio or Altair. The protagonist is a poser - he's neither a templar, nor a pirate, nor an assassin, he's just a handsome opportunist who looks like he has the facial features of Brad Pitt and Chris Hemsworth and who wants to get rich and take revenge in the cruelest ways. His only contribution to the Assassin's Creed universe? He will be the father of Haytham Kenway, so the grandfather of Connor from Assassin's Creed III and the ancestor of Desmond Miles. At least, the other characters, like Steve Bonnett and Black Beard are memorable, with good looking clothes and .....theeth....for a game set in 1710s-1720s. Graphics - it looks better, but in places it seems a bit cartoonish. The characters' faces are sometimes wet, shiny in the shadows, maybe because the developers tried to reproduce the sweat caused by the tropical climate. Facial expressions, shadows and some aspects are clearly superior to the Black Flag Resynced remake. Audio: Beautiful music, good audio, especially during naval battles, credible voice acting. Gameplay: It's slightly clumsy. When you walk around Havana or Nassau or the islands, you feel like you're in the previous titles. The animations, including the sound of the blade, sound like they did in Assassin's Creed II. And it feels outdated, no matter how impressive the graphics are. Appearances don't save it. In the navigation and naval battles category, it's a downgrade from Assassin's Creed III when it had increased immersion in moving the mast and raising the sails. In terms of the modern story, it's a first-person camera simulator where you walk around the Ubiso...Abstergo office building in the fall of 2013. And you learn more about the Templars, about how corporations want to subjugate the world with AI...exactly what's happening now. Multyplayer: Shame on Ubisoft that first of all, you couldn't deliver a playable and attractive mode, and then, Shame on you for shutting down the servers. You made people pay $60 at launch for the multiplayer component, which should have been worth half the game. Resyinc: Not worth buying now, at full price. At most through the monthly subscription. My review will probably disappear once the game disappears from the Steam library, as Ubisoft usually does. They cut the modern story, they cut the multiplayer mode, they didn't even include the expansions. Overall, it's the best pirate video game in history. Until we see a video game well adapted from Pirates of the Caribbean, this one will remain. If you don't like it, stick with Monkey Island. For those who want pirate games with beautiful graphics, Black Flag is the best compared to Sea of ​​Thieves, Windrose and Skull and Bones. My Rate: 6/10
