A charming little game that has its fair share of bumps in the beginning, but it manages to end off on a good note, with some genuinely emotional scenes/moments nearing the end! Always recommend a game that can make me shed tears, and this one did <3
A fun and surprisingly in depth adventure: 1. Great and immersive world. 2. Fun and casual gameplay, although the difficulty doesn't at all match the story (for example some random optional training will be way more in depth and difficult than the "final boss" of the game but hey, obv gameplay is not the focus here). 3. Really well written and well voiced characters (especially the two male characters Michael and Kaidan). 4. A nice plot which starts small and then expanses naturally into a greater fight. 5. An ending, which, even though it was a bit rushed, I deemed to be quite satisfying. All in all, you just feel the passion of the devs in this interesting visual novel and I recommend you to buy this game.
You can get people killed and traumatize a child if you want. Your earliest major decision is whether or not to poison a guy for being kind of rude.
Amazing game, this one hooked me so much I finished it within two days and bought the second game right after! For everyone who loves decision games with a more easy & cozy flavor to them, minigames also were fun and feasible
The romance isn't anything to write home about, but the base story is fantastic. A genuinely intriguing story, great cahracters, good (temporary) found family vibes, interesting worldbuild, solid voice acting, and solid minigames - it's all there.
Kaboom, kaboom. Nice visual novel gate kept by initially charming puzzles that become annoying. Kaboom, kaboom kaboom. Wouldn't care if the whole puzzle didn't reset itself after every kaboom. Spent ten minutes on the glasses polish potion and made no headway. Pity, was getting invested.
This's a visual novel and so it needs to be consumed as such. But as far as narratives go it is rich storytelling. An epic fantasy in visual novel form. And it has nuance, allowing you to explore complicated morality and complicated characters. It's not necessarily the easiest game to pick up at any given moment, but when you pick it up, it has substance, quality. It's like a really good book. Worth the while.
