Aragami is a beautiful hardcore stealth game that’s hindered by archaic game design and technical issues.
From a presentation standpoint, this is a beautiful game from top to bottom, with a stylistic looking cartoony aesthetic that wouldn’t be out of place among contemporary works like Arcane or Spiderverse. It’s clear that the team at LinceWorks had a few budget constraints with the very obvious lack of voice overs, with the characters only saying a few words to convey the portraiyed tone of dialogue presented in text boxes and subtitles. Shadows are a key gameplay element and this game has some decent looking light sources casting shadows in real time, not the most technically impressive techniques, but it it gets the job done. This game is 100% made with stealth in mind and I mean exclusively as there’s no combat whatsoever, if you get spotted, you only have a few seconds to hide or face the wrath of one hit kills of light with the guard’s swords or arrows from archers. If you’ve played Dishonored before, you’ll be very familiar with certain powers for your ninja needs, like teleportation and you get to unlock some more neat tricks like using kunais for distance killing and some other neat tricks. Unfortunately, this being a game that demands a lot of precision, the camera and controls hamper the experience a lot, to the point of frustration as you’ll be struggling more with the controls than with the enemies themselves. This wouldn’t be an issue if the checkpoint system was more forgiving, but you’ll lose a good 10 or 15 minutes of careful sneaking around, only to be killed by a misplaced teleportation or not rotating the camera fast enough to escape from a hairy situation. I finished this game using a Legion Go S with Bazzite and the native Linux build, while performing great, has a bug where pre-recorded cutscenes appear as a black screen, so it's recommended to change compatibility to the latest version of Proton (10.0-3 at the time of writing). The story is alright I guess, I wasn’t very invested on it, but I didn’t hate it either and the clear star of the show is the game itself. So, would I recommend this game? Only if you have the patience of a saint to stomach a severly punishing checkpoint system with janky controls; make your way through the sprawling levels to dispatch every single guard and be extremely careful to not slip into a water pool or a misplaced teleport. 7/10 - Get on a heavy discount.

I feel like I underestimated how much I like Aragami. It not only satisfied my need for a Tenchu game, but it also stood out from Tenchu with its weird superpowers and story. Unfortunately, the game takes a while to impress people. The graphics and music are very humble; it takes a few hours before it actually clicks, and players realize they're playing a gem. That's the best way to describe the game: everything is a Slow Burn. The story is good in a few hours, the graphics are underrated in a few hours, the combat is interesting in a few hours, and you will like this game in a few hours. If you have a few hours and patience, playing an underrated gem ain't the worst way to spend your time.

Круто почувствовать себя макакой-тенью. Может быть куплю 2 часть
A well enjoyed stealth indie game! Taking place in feudal Japan, Aragami is a fun action title that priorities stealth gameplay, like the proper spirit shinobi the protagonist is. His moveset is very particular, with Ryo's super powers making heavy reliance on shadows and twilight. Levels are not too complex, but I found great enjoyment jumping from one shadow to the other without being detected, not to mention the moonlightened beautiful aesthetis. Narrative wise the title is simple yet effective, focusing more on showing rather than telling. There are few technical hiccups, but these are overshadowed by all the rest.
Aragami is a stealth game where you play as a summoned spirit (Aragami) who is trying to free your imprisoned summoner from captivity. As a summoned shadow spirit, you have until the end of the night to free her. In your way are warriors who wield light magic, but you have many different shadow powers to use to figure out how to free your summoner. Positives: Game play is nice and you have the choice of going the kill everyone route or pacifist route and focusing on sneaking by everyone. Sort of like Dishonored where there are some abilities you can only use to kill people, but I felt like Aragami has just as many powers to help you avoid detection if you choose that route. The artwork and design is very pretty to look at. The boss fights were also a lot of fun as they were tests to see if you knew how the game worked versus using only one style. Negatives: The multiplayer has some connectivity problems, in one chapter, my friend and I continued to disconnect despite the fact that I was hosting with my ethernet plugged in. This is apparently a known issue and was never fixed, so we had to complete it individually before playing the next chapter together. The guards' detection is a little weird to pickup and sometimes they'll be staring right at you when you're out of the shadow and still need a lot of time to register you're there. Neutral: The story is okay, I felt like it was too easy to predict. The voice acting is also a little weird as it feels like sometimes they'll only say the first part of the line. Overall: It's worth picking up if you enjoy stealth style games, if you have a friend it's fun as well with them, although chapter IX you'll just have to do on your own.
El último juego de sigilo.
6.5/10
Only people who true stealthly people should play this game. There is no combat system and only stealth. If you get spotted you got like 3 seconds to run away or you are dead. Also the game has servers that work it is just not a lot of people play this game anymore.
