About
Anomalous takes place in Kosolov. A grim industrial city. Kosolov is a highly controlled and secretive society. It's an industrialized nation. With overwhelming authority and a devotion to its leaders, the citizens endlessly work to death. A hard divide between the secretive upper society and the majority brainwashed working class ensures continuation. Effectively shunned from the rest of the world, leaders of Kosolov have been free to fast-track their unethical scientific experiments to enhance their tyrannical military capabilities and workforce.
To create the ultimate controllable and mindless workforce Kosolov had put in place a plan to revive the dead and set them back to work - benefitting from an already high mortality rate. Scientists have attempted mechanical implants, regenerative biomass, and a host of bizarre experiments. With numerous unforeseen consequences resulting in a catastrophic disaster, the only thing left to do is battle your way out of the city.

Unexpectedly well-made shooter from a single dev. It’s cheap, short, and genuinely fun. At the same time, it’s packed with minor bugs and clearly lacks overall polish. Easy recommend if you’ve already cleared the big-name games in the genre
Great game. DOOM-like. Bit intense sometimes, but it's smooth, and has got lovely levels and mechanics.
Decent FPS, but doesn't compete with the heavy hitters! Game starts off quite underwhelmingly - you're able to dual wield shotguns and assault rifles quite early on, but if you're thinking Wolfenstein The New Order, you might want to dial back your expectations a little - the dual shotguns especially feel like firing BB guns - it's that bad. But then, just when I was thinking, this game isn't worth my time, I'd rather uninstall - I got the Super Shotgun, which was kinda okay, but the game definitely ramped up at that point. The game became less about how the guns felt, and more about how satisfying the combat was. I mean, again, this isn't anything top tier, but I'd say it was good enough for me to say I still had fun. Game looks decent, ran like butter even at 4k on my RX 9070, so there's nothing major to complain. If you're a casual gamer, who enjoys the occasional FPS like Doom, this might still not do it for you. But if you're into boomer shooters hardcore, and you've beat your Dusks, your Amid Evils, the Dooms etc, then yeah, this is something you might also enjoy. And the soundtrack is actually good and you can strafe jump to gain momentum. No rocket jumping though,

This is a nice short fps game. Story is....not really there, but I kinda feel like if you found this game, you were never really looking for a story. Give it a try on discount.
Game is designed like a classic FPS shooter from the 90's and very well worth it for 8 bucks
low budget amature dev doom.
Get it on sale and it's a nice little playthrough. At full price in this boomer shooter renaissance we've been in it's more difficult to pick this over other options.
"Anomalous"??? "Atrocious" would have been a much better term for this broken mess. This is simply annoying, I have played better pre-alpha games. You get stuck in terrain features, enemies have tiny (or none?) hitboxes, spawn literally on top of you and shoot you continiously through walls. You get a wide array of weapons, but they seem to be all the same and close to useless. There are some brillant Half-Life-clones out there but "Anomalous" is so far the worst. No fun at all...a waste of money and time.
