Shape the Roman Empire in this genre-defining strategic builder game. Build cities while expanding your influence through Roman provinces. Govern using your economic prowess, diplomatic skills, or military might.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5/day in the week to Sep 17 → 6.67/day in the week after.
About
As governor, how you build and govern will shape your story, your citizens’ destiny, and your provinces’ future. Will you cooperate with other governors or prove your military prowess by challenging your rivals? The cost of peace is yours to decide.
Build your provinces with unmatched detail, flexibility, and scale. Watch kids chase dogs through the streets or thousands cheer in the arena. Build upon the land that you see, from the beautiful heartland of Latium to the mysterious Celtic wetlands of Albion… where no civilized Roman wants to be.
Design the cities of your dreams at the peak of the Roman Empire as you balance your people's needs with the relentless demands of the emperor. Forge alliances across the empire or showcase your might with strategic land battles and naval combat. You may even defy the emperor himself – but not without consequences.
Every decision you make as governor matters. Will you honor local Celtic culture or enforce Roman traditions? Grow your provinces through diplomacy and commerce or conquer through military strength. Your choices will shape not only the future of your citizens and your provinces, but your own story as well.

Great Game

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 5: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Latest in each market: best DE #52, worst MX #94 · 7 markets collected

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I am fan of the anno serie since 1404. This is the best game of the serie in my opinion. After a long day of work, I jump into my save and anjoy the beautiful sunset, the view and escape for a while. It took a while to transition from the excellen 1800. Mostly it takes time to change from a technology driven progression to a cultur driven progression on the supply chain. Each supply chain is simple beautiful and there are so many of them.. I have great time on it and highly recommand it.

Honestly I'm kind of divided on this one. This is one of those many times I wish Steam had an in-between for recommend and not. It's a mixed bag. On one hand they released a game with an unfinished campaign and obviously have no intention of ever completing it, which is pretty sh*tty. Personally I don't care much about the combat system but I know a lot of people were looking forward to it returning and it's pretty damn lackluster. I've also experienced a couple of loading screen freeze bugs. I know there's always bugs in a new game, but that's a pretty unacceptable spot for a AAA title to have them. Shows how rushed the final release was imo. On the other hand people keep comparing this game to 1800 like 1800 was the greatest thing since sliced Albion cheese. Ya'll are cracked if you think the base game campaign in 1800 was much better than this, plus 1800 has 12 major gameplay DLCs and frankly the base game is relatively booty without them. The South America region is a freaking depressing a$$ cotton/oil factory without Seeds of Change and New World Rising. The point being that this game has released relatively similar to the way 1800 launched, and has extremely similar levels of gameplay. That being said, would I recommend it? I do think it'll get better and better with each major DLC just like 1800 did, but if you're going to come in expecting the same fleshed out experience as 1800+12 DLCs then I wouldn't buy this for at least a few years. On the other hand if you can get this at at a good price(like the 40ish dollar range or 60 for the deluxe) and you liked the base gameplay of 1800 then you'll have a decent time.
