Not for me, all in all too janky.
An absolute blast of a game. never thought I would be playing a new game running on UE3 in 2026. The space battles in this game are definitely one of its biggest highlights.
Janky? yes. Dated looking? yes. Floaty combat? yes. Some of most fun I've had gaming in years? yes. This game just gets it - 64 players, in large scale arcady style warfare, mixing ground, vehicular and space combat in a package that doesn't ask anything from you, other than to have as much fun as possible - Maps are great, music is fine. This is Battlefront 1/2 again (the originals) without the campaign. BUT, you can queue up maps you like in a "campaign" and play for hours slowly creeping through objectives and getting the upper-hand on the enemy faction. The loop is so addictive I really can't sing it's praises enough. To top it all off, all of this can be done in multiplayer or single player (like I play) meaning if you're not amazing at online shooters you can customise the difficulty and play EXACTLY how you want. Game functions with a gamepad (and on the SteamDeck) but the best way to play by far is with mouse and keyboard, you'll get the most out of this playing it this way. For all you gamers who played the original Battlefront 1/2 this is 100% for you. Play this game! Support these developers! As, if I remember correctly this was a labour of love over many years. We need more games like this, built for gamers to have fun without demanding 100's of hours or a seriously deep wallet to get good.

The Battlefront III we could've had... Republic vs. Separatists, seamless battles from the surface to orbit. LAATs dropping clones into the fight, Venators and Separatist capital ships exchanging broadsides in orbit, players jumping from infantry to starfighters to boarding actions without ever leaving the battle. We never got that game Instead, an indie game called Angels Fall First reminds us what could've been. Remember, that boys.........................
the optimal way to fight someone is to put down your gun and run at them with your knife
The concept is pretty cool. I like that you can transfer from capital ships into space and then board other capital ships, kind of like the original Battlefront 2. That was always one of my favorite parts of that game. Unfortunately, this game does not really seem to have the player base to support it, and the AI is brain-dead, so the matches do not feel very satisfying. The graphics are also pretty terrible, though I guess that is part of the charm. There is a fun idea here, but if I want boarding actions and space battles, I would rather just go back and play the original Battlefront 2.
Not great, it's cheap but it's not quality. There is a lot wrong, the guns feel off, the vehicles are bland, there is some weird flying airship that zips around like UFO on crack, the AI is bad, from staying on cap points avoiding enemies, to doing weird side stepping bunny hopping motions to evade your aim, not shooting enemies right infront of them as a turret in a vehicle. The concept of this game is great, just not executed very well. That can all be forgiven if it will be continued to be worked on but this is a wrap. There is very little more than this coming and a lot of what is wrong wont be fixed anytime soon, it will be like this for a long time if it even ever changes. This was 10 years and came across as the end of the line for the game.
should I jerk off?
Crosshair has pixel skipping on lower sens. I can excuse and have fun with a LOT of the jank here. But not that.
this game is what this game advertises it looks jank it is jank but jank is in the love of the game you like action? you like flying? you like ground barased vehicle based and flying based combat? you like space? you like getting prison shanked by an unemployed mouth breather coming at you from across the map at mach 10? then stop reading the reviews and spend your mcdonalds lunch order and play this damn game it has so much love and depth that youll be drowning for hours see you in space cowboy
