About
Ancient Cities is a realistic, survival city builder in an immersive procedural environment. Lead the fate of your tribe through ancient times!

You will have to guide your people through generations, discovering and improving technologies, managing resources and population, building your city organically and facing other tribes in a fully simulated world and ecosystem.
Take your time to build your ancient city, step into our ancestors footsteps and get immersed in the ancient times.

In Ancient Cities you can play at any time and place of the European Stone Age. From the warm Mediterranean to cold Scandinavia and from the end of the Ice Age to the end of the Neolithic.
In each time and place you will have historically accurate forests, animals, buildings, tools, resources and knowledge of each culture that you will have to manage to survive in the harsh ancient times.

Ancient Cities reduces micromanagement through intelligent automation. Organise and build while your citizens perform the tasks that best suit their specific skills and knowledge.
In the regional game layer, you will be able to trade or attack neighbouring tribes or perhaps decide to migrate elsewhere if resources become scarce.

This is only the beginning, Ancient Cities has been designed as an ever-improving platform that supports the continuous introduction of new compatible content to explore new cultures and places throughout history.
Stay tuned for new improvements and contents!

By far the most boring management game there is, nothing ever to do except wait for the ai to stop working and watch how your base just stops the work flow and decay, no automatization whatsoever, decay feature is stupidly unbalanced, and the work groups barely do the work they are assigned to if any that doesnt require constant manual instructions, which are ultra limited for a game with such bad AI. Just a pretty game with a couple hours at max of enjoyment, i putted way too many hours in trying to 100% this very mediocre product, save your money and time there are so many better options anywhere than this game will ever offer
graficos bons, os icones de construção são gigantes atrapalham a visão da tribo, o jogo roda muito bem.

Ancien City is a unique city builder, in good ways and bad ways, so the mixed reviews it gets are fair. PROS - the maps, the environment, the game looks simply beautiful - unique setting with unique dynamics like migration, with a realistic world map with other tribes all around you, to trade or raid, and a "local" map where your tribe is settled. - the hidden research tree is great and feel refreshing, no simplistic point system to unlock the research you like the most, nope, you have to wait for the right migrants with the right knowledge to get to your tribe to unlock new stuff, and to a smaller degree, your own tribesmen can discover stuff getting good at their jobs. So every game will be a bit different in terms of which knowledge you acquire first. - unique work and grouping system CONS - the UI is not friendly at first - minimal tutorial and in-game guide may be a problem for casual gamers, because again the game is unique and some functions may not be so intuitive, but veteran gamers of the genre should be fine. - a few head scratching design choices like having storehouses that store a single resource, not even a whole category like foods or building materials, no, just a single kind of food or material - building need fixing too often imo - can feel too slow paced at times - the game seems poorly optimized, but I'm not expert in any way so take this point with a grain of salt not really a cons but still, this game would benefit a lot from an active modding community, but sadly it isn't there at the moment and since it isn't a new game at this point, I doubt it will ever exist.
I bought this game two years ago for quite cheap, played 20 minutes and decided to wait, as it certainly does have potential. Sadly, not much has changed in that time. I'm sure they would like to work faster, but for whatever reason it isn't happening. Not much else to say as I haven't played it enough to comment. I really hope they don't lose the small buzz around this game, and instead grow it.

I bought this game in the beginning, and then it was full of bugs and lacked content, but now on 19/07/2026 I actually start to enjoy the game, the only missing thing is good modding support so more content would be possible, but the game starts to be fun!
