Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.71/day in the week to Aug 8 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

First off, when playing turn OFF dof(Depth of field) because it will make you puke. But lets get to it: This is a labor of love. But, somehow, an incomplete experience. It´s finished but it´s unfinished. Purely as a remake it excells but as a game, in itself, it falls, sadly, waaaay short of what it should have become. Could have become, certainly. It is just INCREDIBLY short. And the world itself, although great to look at is just, sadly, 100% rigid. With no physics based objects ANYWHERE. Something that has been a given for these kinds of games for the last 20+ years. So that is very akward. Npc´s, sadly, go into the same cagetory. Altough they move they do not react to anything actually. Fire a fiew bullets into the ground around them and you will understand. I mean we have had better for decades now. I already owned and finished it on consoles but wanted to own it on pc as well. Being able to play as two of great english speaking popular actors of the time Jodie Comer and David Harbour just makes this a pleasure regardless. No matter what. They play their parts so well and all of their lines are so real. Without them this game would be a joke. Honestly. But they breathe life into it. The game becomes like a short(very short) novella. And(except maybe with "The last express") I really cannot think of a lot of projects that pull this off. Even if involentarily? Do not expect to much from the game but just glance over it, maybe let it inspire you or scratch an itch because for that it is really good. Put a little of your own senses into it, just appreciate the textures, the mansion itself(you know what I mean), feel a little more into it than it would let you, as the game that it is, and you will be rewarded. Also, while likely not being on the list of any true horror game fanatic it has, for sure, one of the most messed up endings available(Carnby bad ending) you can imagine(and I cannot believe that this was allowed). Depending on your playstayle and the collectibles you gather. I found it really disturbing. You didn´t? Well, mayby you`re a danger for us all.

Bueno 7/10

I just want a remake of Alone in the Dark (2008), not all this other stuff.
I rarely drop a game, but i dropped this one, really boring, the gunplay sucks, the puzzles are not fun to solve at all and the worst of all is the voice acting, i just cant stand the bored voices of the protagonists.
Огонь! Доуайте 2-й и 3-й ремейки)
Graphiquement Correct !
I understand that it’s a reimagining and not a remake and since Call of Cthulhu was intended to be used in the original, but as the agreement was revoked, they made it into their own thing and spawned the 3d survival horror genre, I think this game needed to be given a subname as to indicate that it’s not a remake of the original as if it was I would rather the story keep faithful, though I believe that a remake that brings the originals to this kind of gameplay and honors the original games should happen at some point. Another issue is that the difference in story between the two characters is so little as you go through the same things, just different or altered cutscenes with them slowly telling you the story in Edward’s version and straight up telling the main twist in Emily’s near the beginning and the only actual difference is chapter 4, I feel that they needed to make them actually do different things rather than the same, giving you the ability to see what either were doing throughout the whole story or combine them and swap between them per chapter, but as it is right now, beat one’s story and watch the other’s cutscenes. I would recommend Emily unless you’re actually going to do a second playthrough as the other character, I initially wanted to, but by the end I was just frustrated and decided not to do my second and that made me wish I chose Emily instead. It feels like they put less and less thought into the puzzles as you go through the game. For one case are Safe codes because they suck at having any actual clue on how to do them as the warehouse only tells you the direction and I had to search it up to find out that I need to count the bold letters for the numbers or later ones just tell you the numbers at that point might as well be key locks instead. Then that brain scan one was just trial and error with rotating the scans to get what you want with the only hint being one has text on it so it’’s the bottom, but I never felt like I actually figured it out it just happened and that frustrated me more as instead of giving me the “aha I figured it out” I went “Wow, that was just rotating the pictures until it magically worked.” Then there is the boat where if the item to your puzzle is literally 5 feet away then it doesn’t need to be a puzzle. Loading has the game act choppy and have no sound for a while. It’s a pretty short game though that lack of differences between characters may make you less inclined to do another. Maybe it’s just a standard difficulty and easier thing, but I was swamped in ammo and only was low post combat sections or the end of the boat, I got annoyed early when I saw how low the amount you could hold was, But I never had to actually stealth throughout the game since it just gave me too much ammo. Enemy health was finicky as one enemy will die to the shotgun in 1 shot, but at other times 3 or more and it was the same type of enemy. The controls prioritizes controller even if you don’t have one plugged in from the design and I had to go into my button layout to know how to heal or switch weapons as for some reason weapon 4 is hold 1 instead of being 4. Occasionally I will come across items that get highlighted when I focus but I can’t pick them up or something that looks like a healing items, but for some reason I can’t highlight or even pick them up, in chapter 3 an enemy spawned stuck in a box and some rooms don’t change from pink despite everything having been picked up. I have heard there is a bug when transferring to New Game + where your collectibles don’t transfer over for whatever reason and unfortunately if you want any of the secret endings or to 100% the game it requires you to play both stories, made harder due to what I remarked earlier about the little differences though on NG+ you move faster. I believe that the game starts out good, but half way though it drops in quality and it needed more work before release. That is why I struggled finding what rating to give, but I feel that not recommended suits it best as even though the first half is really good, I can’t recommend half a game. Unfortunately the company that made this was shut down by Embracer afterwards.
