About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

cash grab hard to pick up items bad writing the faces look bad. The first game was better
Much better than fireteam elite 1, it has some rough edges but nothing thats a huge dealbreaker for me. That being said probably wait for a sale the full price is a little steep

If you're an Alien fan, this game is a must buy. Remember that it's a Double A title but comes with plenty of improvements from the first. The storyline is just as good from its predecessor, you actually get to fight the Queen this time, but note that the NPC voice acting/dialogue choices are awful. You will not miss anything by skipping the NPC dialogue at the main hub. They kind of treat you like a dumb grunt kid, even after you've wiped out 5,000 aliens and their queen. There's 15 missions total and 3 horde mode levels, each mission probably taking 20-45 minutes depending on your difficulty. Plenty of accessibility options for the HUD and FOV, and the shadows/lighting/animation quality looks much better in the sequel on their Unreal Engine 4.26 or whatever it is. This is not Unreal Engine 5, but still looks really damn good. A lot of players think the only cosmetic/gun/skill unlocks are in the in-game market. Not true. Each class has a level system, then your character has a separate level system. Each time you level one or the other, you're either getting a new gun or armor set, some other goodies. Solid progression rewards. A lot of the unlockables are hidden behind level unlocks, you can scope this out in the Collections section. No microtransactions (other than DLC). Everything is unlocked by playing and earning in-game creds. They've allowed custom armor decal assignment for your chest piece which can be fun. You can decorate it with funny/badass decal stamps that can be resized and manually placed. They also put in recoloring of your armor with different paints, can mix and match helmet/torso/pants. You need to play through until you get into the endgame. Once you start entering Intense difficulty and higher, you have to start relying on class diversification and taking each encounter much slower. This is where it gets insanely fun and definitely challenging. Customization is through the roof. Way more camos, emotes, armor sets, gun selection, attachments from the first. Class skill mods have expanded and they have introduced endgame skill mods/gun augments that allow you to finetune your preferred playstyle. The different level aesthetics are awesome and they have included the Pathogen aliens in the base game instead of requiring DLC from the first game. Sure, a bit clunky with some light bugs on launch, that'll be tidied up in the near future. This is a classic horror horde shooter and will eat hundreds of hours of playtime. Like I said, if you're an Alien fan, you'll have a blast regardless of any negative feedback you see scrolling through the reviews.
as it is now, it's terrible. at first it looks like everything that made the first game amazing was improved on. however, as i make this review i keep playing missions, getting stuck on loading screens or randomly getting crashed and sent to the main base. you get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5.000 exp per mission and i cant even finish mission without playing it 3 times just to get that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5.000 exp because of the crashes. i'm not dropping 8 hours into a game to only get rewarded for 2 hours. i played 8, 10 etc hours. i should have the 10 hours of progress.
Fun game. If only it was playable. Can't pick up items means you cant heal unless there is a medic on team. Can't progress in levels or gear because game crashes so often and doesn't count progress. Complete mission, but crash at the end? Guess your time was wasted. Try to play with your friends? Game glitches out and kicks everyone back to solo instance in the middle of the fight. Took 4 times beating the Queen for the game to count my progress. Dialog is garbage they should have just focused on gameplay. It has potential. I'll change my review when they fix their game.
FIRETEAM 1... OR FIRETEAM 2.... Fireteam Elite 2 is basically a step back in every category except number of enemies. There isn't a single feature that doesn't feel more polished in the first game. This game needs a MAJOR overhaul.
EVERYONE SAYING THIS SHOULD BE A DLC/EXPANSION IS RIGHT. This reminds me of the original L4D2 situation when that game came out and was near identical to the first one but with some additions. This game is functionally the same problem- EXCEPT it isnt adding the first campaign in here for free. Sequels are supposed to improve upon the original and introduce new aspects and new elements- this is just the original with a new coat of paint, different classes, and a different campaign. the similarities are uncanny. I thoroughly loved Aliens Fireteam Elite 1. But its clear this one needs more QA patches. I finished the first mission and the game froze for 2 minutes, almost exited it out to write this review when it marked as completed. As for enemies feeling floaty, I cant say much on that. Honestly I like how fast they move compared to original. buy on sale.
Sad to say most of the reviews on this are right , this is not a good game. It feels worse in almost every way compared to the first game which already wasn't great but it was fun in a mundane sort of way. The controls / movement of your character feel floaty the guns lack punchiness and the enemies just sortoff *happen* onscreen. The repetitveness of the ambient / OST very quickly gets grating not to mention the gunsounds are just .. wrong, yes i'm aware at lvl 10 you can unlock the proper Pulse Rifle but even its sound is *off* which is weird cuz (again) the first game had proper audio and a legit good sounding Pulse Rifle. Also the dialogue ? why ? why give a worse version of Fallout4 dialogue where if you pick the *wrong* option all you get is a "how very dare you" reply from the CO? If i'm not actually allowed to say such things outloud then why gimme the option? if i'm acting like a dumb teenager at least make it funny if you scold me as one. All in all this feels like a cheap arcade game wearing the license of something that vaguely resembles the Aliens franchise. Within half an hour of play i also ran into a glitch where i couldn't swap between guns anymore and when i went into control options the game froze. Maybe patches can fix some of these issues ? i dunno, but this is a refund for me cuz 50 euros is too steep for a game of this *quality*
