Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 17 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45291928/ It's as bad as you think it is. Story, performance, visuals, animations, AI, combat, and everything else is horrible. Not good in solo or co-op. Play Fireteam Elite or Isolation instead.
If you are a fan of the first 2 alien movies, you will enjoy this game. If you are a fan of the older Halo's, you will enjoy this game. I love the pulse rifle sound, same one from the movies!

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

No, not even if you're an alien fan starving for more alien gaming. This game is very janky and buggy in myriad strange ways and downright unfinished. Story beats are outright missing and inexplicable events ocur towards the end of the game. Gunplay is abhorrent with misaligned iron sights that will have you wondering where your gun is firing as you move and shoot at the same time. It's like you're shooting blanks and weapon feedback is generally terrible. That aside, the music, voice acting and scenarios do a pretty decent job of nailing the feel of what alien should be. Provided you fix the ai by tweaking an ini file the aliens do at times scitter and crawl across walls and ceilings appropriately. Ultimately though it's well below average and painful to play, it being an fps with terrible gunplay and otherwise questionable ai. It was also a game of which the development was botched thanks to gearbox embezzling the funds and using them on borderlands, and that's a gross waste of this IP. That alone is enough reason not to spend any money on this. If you absolutely must play this, do it in some way that doesn't give gearbox money, like buying a used copy for console.
It's nothing special but for the price I got it for which was next to nothing, it proved to be a fun time with some friends and just getting through the title. I wish there was more to it overall as this had the ability to truly do something special but if you're buying it now, you already know what's up. Either find some people that you can enjoy these types of games with or maybe steer clear.
i did finish the main game with a couple of crashes but now i cant play the game at all crashes on loading screen even with fix
Try it with mod, and in Bad Ass mode, you will see something great about this game https://www.moddb.com/mods/templargfxs-acm-overhaul
ℂ𝕠𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕚𝕒𝕝 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕤? 𝕄𝕠𝕣𝕖 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝔹𝕦𝕘𝕘𝕪 𝕄𝕒𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕖𝕤...
Aliens: Colonial Marines should’ve been a dream come true. A first-person shooter set in James Cameron’s Aliens universe? Pulse rifles, motion trackers, Weyland-Yutani nonsense? On paper, it’s basically fan-service for the thirsty Alien fan. In reality? it’s more like a crappy unhinged distress signal that should've been left unanswered. The atmosphere is the game’s strongest weapon. The sound design does a lot of heavy lifting—motion tracker pings, distant screeches, the iconic weapon noises... Add to it the rising tension, as you run into a corridor as the xenomorphs crawl out of vents and into the ceiling... And then the shooting starts, the xenomorphs suddenly turn into glitchy clunky messes, your allies are doing god knows what and the AI just breaks down. The AI is infamously bad, and not in a “haha, dumb enemies” way, no no... It's bad in a “why are these xenomorphs running into walls and staring at me?” way. Hunters that ought to be stalking you are out in the open waiting for you to shoot them. Crushers that ought to be charging at you, are stuck in the nearest truck... Enemies often ignore basic logic, pathfinding is busted, and tension evaporates when the monsters can’t figure out how doors work. For a game built around fear and pressure, that’s kind of a chestburster (pun greatly intended lol) Now that we've established that the game's AI is crap, which makes the whole experience quite sad at the least; let's talk about the Multiplayer, and yes, if you gather enough friends you can play a bunch of very fun online modes where you can even play as the dreaded xenomorphs. The campaign, for what it's worth, is stretched out and the only thing, in my opinion, that killed this game are the glitches. 6/10 gaming experience, now that I've completed it, I'll forget it ever happened lol.
This was probably the best game made in the 2010's. Unfortunately... my friends aren't built the same and couldnt cut it DX
It's not the worst game of all time but it sure is dissapointing. Still, if you are a fan of Aliens be sure to give it a go as it's not without its momements and you can play it with friends. Serves as a great reminder to never pre-order anything as the E3 demo looked much, much better. A very generous 6/10 from a life-long Aliens fan, 3 or 4 for anyone else.
I don't think I can say a lot about Aliens: Colonial Marines that hasn't been said before. The history, the development hell, the release disaster and the bugs. So I won't. What I can do is review this from someone who didn't follow the development at that time. That went into this knowing that it's going to be bad. That only expected bad things from this game. First, a PSA: There are quite a few things to do before you start playing this game that can improve the experience. I recommend going to pcgamingwiki before playing. So I expected the game to be abhorrent. A failure in every aspect possible. So how was it? It was actually ok. The story is bad. It's nonsense at the best of times and the dialogue is bad. Very bad. The voice acting is also subpar. The graphics is pretty bad for 2011. It looks like a mid tier 2007 game mostly, with games like Bioshock looking much better. The gameplay is.... serviceable. It's not great but it works. The ai isn't the best but it's serviceable. The weapons are ok, even tough they don't feel correct in terms of the lore of Aliens. There's some irritating sections (Like the loader vs alien bossfight) but overall, I never got too irritated. It's just a boring, run of the mill shooter. I can't really recommend this for most people. Only get this if you're curious about video game history or if you like bad games. I know you guys are out there.
