Then take your personal ship and tackle more than 500 handcrafted encounters with dastardly pirates, competing merchants, local militias, and skyfaring manowars of the great powers.

Seek out merchants and deal in over 300 different trade goods, from essential supplies to cutting edge airship weapons. Buy low, sell high, and amass profits to make even the richest merchants green with envy!

This game is a blast! Very Anno-coded but with fun airship combat. Upgrading ships is fun, there's a ton of plot to dig into, and the economy is interesting if hard to wrap your mind around. It is not easy in terms of on-boarding, the UI can be a bit clunky and the supply chain takes significant time to setup and act on. If you like simulating airship combat, complex economies built around interlinked supply chains, and long real time journeys you'll have a blast.
Alright.. I played the game from the start to finish as the Teutons.. It's an absolute roller coaster and fun game. Makes me really feel like a true airship commander and living out the fantasy of such a setting. What stood out to me is with the lore that was written, that I was literally glued to reading the lines of dialogue and backstories of the characters and settlements, going as far as to create my own personal guide in future playthroughs. Coupled with the beautiful art of the landscapes, buildings and characters, I really just wanna find where they are in the files but I don’t know how. But the slow unveiling of the final boss and the eventual discovery just made the ending extremely heartbreaking for me when I unconsciously got attached to them, paired with the music and the final cinematic. It just hurts. Of course the gameplay was fine.. Though there are a lot of complaints with the AI getting in the way when you don’t want to deal with them.. and having a powerful fleet still does not deter some of them when they are just a single measly gunboat against three cruisers, making a short 5 kilometer travel distance into a slog when you have 3 or more of these damn things constantly blocking your cruise. The material ferrying mechanic also has to be kept an eye on as the assigned ships would deliver the materials you’ve set, but when you leave them unattended they sometimes might just empty the warehouse for the listed materials or just stop entirely since there’s nothing left. Additionally, you can’t have a buy order if you know that place has materials and you really have to travel to the location just to get it, and it sucks if you don’t have the Ibex for ferrying large quantities back to where you actually wanted it. There are still bugs in some of them, such as the missions not really indicating where the objective is, despite later missions having all the markers, as well as some not resolving despite already succeeding in the requirements and completing it. Though these are largely confined with the side quest and money making quests. It is also equally frustrating that the officers are not indicated where they are and do not appear in that Act level as indicated and you have to complete the Act first and search for them the next Act. I hope that Airship 2: Kingdoms Ablaze can fix these issues and make quality of life improvements to mechanics and gameplay, perhaps something I may not have thought of. Hopefully the return of some of the characters as alluded to their fate due to their bridge’s construction, the essential characters that go with you, and perhaps your character themselves if they’re still kicking after that ending. Frankly, this kind of theme is underutilized and you rarely see them in books, television, games, and anime.. Unless they exist and I just still have not been able to see it.. Tell me if you have so I can check on it. I have a lot more to say but I can’t as I just finished the game not too long ago, and I am still sad about how the end turned out. Anyhow, great game, highly recommended. Courage and Victory Commanders!

I'm having a bad day for games I thought would be great but turned out not to be... Airship: Kingdom's Adrift is one of those. In fact I had this wishlisted because it looked pretty good from a cursory glance... well, you gotta take a deeper look before you spend your money (This showed up in a bundle for me). What is it? Well it's like Sid Meier's Pirates! but in a steampunk flying boats themed world where we battle over the sky. This has a laundry list of checkboxes ticked for the kind of game serious PC gamers love... economic management, progression, industry, trading, combat... so this is another case of a developer snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The reason being that while the premise is fantastic and there's even a single player campaign storyline beyond just open world empty sandbox fatigue, the implementation is just so poor. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. Despite just being a couple of years old, the graphics appear quite dated. The low poly ship models look like they're from 2006. This compares poorly to more contemporary games with professional standards. Given that gaming is primarily a visual medium, this is a bit of a problem, so should be taken into account when considering whether to get this game. The UI is equally a dogs breakfast... it's a mess of mismatched interfaces... icons that are so muddy they look like they're antialiased 32x32 pixel jobs. What's with that? Is it that hard to find someone who can do high res icons? And this clunkiness goes beyond just the UI and visual appearance. There's always a correlation between poor visual quality and poor gameplay quality... yeah, I know, they say you can't judge a book by the cover but when it comes to PC gaming, almost all of the time you can. Another axiom that applies very well to Airship. Sloppy AI, a tedious game narrative... grindy and repetitive fighting suck all the joy out of what could have been a modern day steampunk Pirates! but isn't. These technical shortcomings push this game below minimum standards for any competently developed modern PC game. One of the driving elements of this shovelware game is "achievement spam", that is to say the game features a ridiculously large number of trivial/automatically granted achievements, 143 of them, in fact. It's a damning indictment for this shovelware that people only bought it for easy achievements, and not because it has any serious merit as a real game. Let's look at the price and what kind of value this actually offers gamers. Should you buy this game? Is it one of the best of the 175,000+ games on Steam? Airship: Kingdoms Adrift has the ridiculous price of $30 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. For comparison, the $30 asking price for this game could get you games like "Sekiro Shadows Die Twice", "Rimworld" or "Dark Souls III". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this. Unfortunately Steam reviewers aren't presented with a "Maybe" option... if they did, that's what I'd choose. This isn't a completely bad game, but it's also not one of the best. As always, if you read my review and you can overlook the negatives I've called out, or they just aren't important to you, then by all means go ahead and buy this.
Great Game, fun and easy to play.
好玩
I was genuinely excited about Airship: Kingdoms Adrift because the idea behind it is fantastic. Building and customizing your own airship, flying through a steampunk world, engaging in airship combat, and exploring the skies is exactly the kind of game I've been looking for. The core concept is incredibly appealing, and during my first few hours I had a lot of fun simply flying around, upgrading my ship, and taking in the scenery. That's why it's disappointing to say that, after about 5 hours, I started feeling like I had already experienced most of what the game currently offers. A lot of my time ended up being spent flying back and forth for delivery quests and repeating similar combat encounters. The gameplay itself isn't bad—in fact, I think the foundation is very strong—but there isn't enough variety or content yet to keep that initial excitement going. What makes this frustrating is that I can clearly see the potential. The airship mechanics, customization, world design, and overall vision are all there. I wanted more reasons to explore, more unique encounters, more mission types, and more things happening in the world. This feels like a game that could easily become something special with continued updates and additional content. For now, I'd give it a 5/10 based on my experience so far. Not because I dislike it, but because I think the game hasn't fully realized its amazing concept yet. I truly hope the developers continue building on what they've created, because I'd absolutely love to come back and play again in the future. Right now, however, I don't feel the current amount of content justifies the $30 price tag.
Quite an enjoyable game, but I find, like most ship naval combat games, you and your opponent will circle each other and whomever can take the longest beating, wins. Still, with city upgrades, and ship customizing, there is a lot here to enjoy. I cant recommend paying the full price... or even half price... but if you can find a good deal on it you will likely enjoy some time with it.
one of my most favorite game i love the game idea cant wait for ablaze
