Afterimage is a hand-drawn 2D action adventure that emphasizes fast-paced combat with diversified character builds, non-linear levels, and a gripping story set in the ruins of a fantasy world.

Reviews
This game is terribly generic and mediocre; it feels like a game with no identity or soul. At first glance it may look appealing. But as soon as the player begins exploring, the question “Why do I even want to explore this world?” quickly surfaces. The level design is superficial at best, yet the world itself is unnecessarily huge. What's worse, there’s no direction, no meaningful points of interest to guide the exploration, so traversing the map becomes nothing more than a slog. The same issue extends to items, equipment, and enemy design. It feels that there's no distinction between them; they all feel very repetitive, as if the same ideas are being thrown at the player over and over. As for the narrative, it seems like the game does not even try to tell a proper story—a story that is never interesting to begin with. A metroidvania should have good pacing, at least a carefully designed pacing. Strong pacing keeps players hooked by consistently introducing fresh experiences; which this game does not have. When the same things are repeated constantly, it really can destroy the flow, and instead only highlights how boring the game is (maybe also how untalented the dev is). Big does not always equal beautiful—if anything that’s a lesson this game teaches. When a dev can’t execute everything well, it’s better to scale back and let go of some. As the Chinese saying says: when you bite off too much, you end up unable to chew.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ok I will be honest I can't in good conscience give a recommend when I say no to silksong for do the same **, really developers think in make a game enjoyable not a tedious game. Lets start with the good unlike silksong that have overpositve having the same problems of this game, this is mixed like should be silksong.. and people still wonder why the industry is bad... when people that give bad review here do it in silksong I will say yup consistence is good. NOw on to good things, map is huge with a lot of sidetrick, parkhour and things that you can say ok i will put this marker for when I can break bridges, or go higher, or go double jump etc, basicly you can put the marker without spend the game of the year silksong.. really. the map also says % done, yes have occult things but unlike silksong you will say ok 99% must be here somewhere, you not have to upload save data in a obscure web and hope tell you what you miss for the 105% done ... really game of the year. The medium is the combat, is not bad, but the contact damage is worst that in silksong, I mean in silksong I could use evade for no hits a first part of the boss that learned a lot cause wlel second phase, here is more evade for get hit.. you moron. Evade is more like they put without thinking the point, ender lillies for now got it right, and even some people think is wrong... The combos are good, and the exploration reward is good too, more hp for fight boss, so you can kinda overpower them (still not finish game but like silksong will put the bad review and update with time). The story is weird but I can follow so for now is not great but not bad. Now the big problems, I feel that follow the wrong order and screw the story, I had kill a boss then appear a npc and say thanks for kill the big mage, and she is a spirit like the rest.. and I think.. ok what are you saying only to see that if I enter the opposite side of the boss all have more sense. Now you are thinking why i try a boss in the wrong side, probably in less stats that needed and the answer is cause developer put a soul like system of lose exp or try again. So when you find a boss is well lose exp or go for the kill. The solution of silksong, well find the hidden npc that give you the item to retrieve, here dunno seems lose but maybe I find the equivalent. Now that is bad per se, I mean yes I go in the wrong order and screw a little the story for not wanting lose exp, but that is enough for a boss that you kill in the third try in hard mode ( dunno if game is more harder, after clear) well if save point were on boss or very near to boss nope, here is way long and that runback was a hell.. explore.. are you crazy If i die I lose exp. So Like silksong i decided wait until I finish game or wait until game pass the line of ok this is for me ending but I can't in good faith recommend game, Finally if you like silksong buy this game, and if the bad things are enough for not recommend then really go back to silksong and give the bad review it deserve, but if you think silksong is ok but here is not ok then destroy all your baised review of steam please.
THIS IS A GOOD GAME probably one of the best games i played buti cantg jsut find anything that doesnt specificly target me to enjoy it the gameplay is the fun the story sadly which is the main point here i bad and the amount of quests to get all endings is ridicoulous and makes symphony of the night sad it feels like the game tried to copy hollowknight whithout understandign hollow knight worked by keeping everything simple here ev erything is jsut complex for the sake of makeing it coomplex
