Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 3 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A classic bullet hell from the days of actually good and creative mobile games. I remember playing when there were only 2 planes and 3 chapters! Unfortunately, not everything translated well from mobile, and nostalgia can't save a bad port. File editing can though! Since the game was designed with micro transactions in mind, the upgrades become absurdly expensive! The game can definitely be a challenge without them. Don't worry though! For windows, you can easily edit save data at ...AppData\Local\aotl and set your medallions to a stupidly high value. (100,000 is a good amount) If you don't want to kill the progression for yourself, a good way to experience the game is to play the missions in order with one plane at a time, and buy an upgrade of choice on your current plane for every mission/boss completed. Ensure your upgrades are evenly distributed for extra balance. With the mindless grinding removed and a solid progression system implemented, you can now enjoy the game. Or you could just... Beat the game without any upgrades. I plan to try this someday. Additional notes: The game is horizontal. I personally feel the game is best experienced in vertical mode. Unfortunately, this isn't mobile, and I don't have the ability to turn my monitor 90 degrees. Not a big deal though. Achievements are pretty fair, and only a few of them will take a while to get. The game does have a notable difficulty spike in Chapter 3. The difficulty can be smoothed out by playing Chapter 4 first if you wish. Finally, the graphics are a little rough on the edges on modern resolutions. The pixel art has aged well though so it kinda balances out. I would definitely recommend this game on sale if you played it back on the day on mobile or if you are just a big fan of the genre. This game is quite short, and isn't terribly hard to beat, but can be worth the price for sure.

The controls are loose compared to more polished shooters. There would be a lot of grinding to totally unlock all three planes. You don't need to. Play until you can unlock Beast then Focus on increasing his stats before Freshman then Tykers in that order. I would increase damage first then health (and Beast's special I'd consider most important). The gaming ends up being much less repetitive if you repeat the levels over and over attempting each achievement. Shooting down 70 red fighter planes is a lot harder than it sounds. I read Aces of the Luftwaffe was adapted from a mobile vertical shooter for PC. While this may not be as interesting as something like Jamestown or Abadox it's still good fun if you like grinding and achievements.
"I wanted to like this game", no, I liked this game for the sprites having done them myself and being an avid kitmaker, they were good for what they were, fighters, but done in the "egg" style to make them cute, but also because of limited space. The game was grindy, but it seemed fair as in, really slowly and surely you progressed. Now you can't do that anymore, as your saves keep getting wiped every few weeks. The game desyncs and you can't resync it unless you got into properties, verify the files, then you can save again until everything gets wiped again. I looked past the fact that it was a mobile port for the GFX and getting somewhere slowly but surely, but now you can't and the game is abandoned. Have a look in the discussions about the save problem. This problem means that you can't progress very far in the game anymore without having all your grind taken away from you and reset, and of course it is now impossible to finish achievements in that game. Finally the art direction for the characters was funny and well done and the story was not bad for a mobile game port either. The German team should be commended for those efforts and for the voice acting to create a complete game world. There are no other reviews that mention this, so after checking, I thought I'd put this heads up in here. As other reviews have said, the Second iteration of this game is still working. I suspect it's a windows 11 problem, but it's abandoned at the time of writing, so no remedy, don't buy this broken game.
Been playing this since 2014 and i am still having fun with the very few levels this game has
I'd say it's a cute little game, except that it's a shoddy mobile port, and boy does it show: - Forget about keyboard, forget about analog steering. The only playable control method is the mouse, hope you like holding down LMB the entire time because YOU MIGHT WANNA CLICK ON THE SUPERPOWER BUTTON you're gonna use with Space anyway, because what's RMB? No such thing on mobiles! Also, no way to rebind controls. - Everything's gated by the in-game currency aka medals. Everything. New planes? Buy with medals. Upgrades? Medals. New missions? Medals. And it's gonna get grindy as hell real quick, so do yourself a favor and just cheat yourself a million of them. - The game itself is pretty barebones, I've seen many shooters a lot better in the 90s. I appreciate escort/bombing/stealth missions for some variety, but weapons could use some too. - ed: I just realized: WHERE'S THE FREAKING ENDING? You kill the last boss (with his last stage cheaty as hell even with max upgrades), mission accomplished, and... that's it. Same as all previous missions. Not even a congratulations screen. I guess that's par for the course for this game *shrug*
need more boss
