About
You are not the hero. You are in charge.
In Acceptable Losses, you are the officer behind the line. You make the calls. You assign the missions. You sign the forms while your men bleed for inches of mud.
Each day brings new orders. Send squads on patrols, trench repairs, wiring parties, or assaults.
At night, face the paperwork. Read incident reports. Review medical updates. Scan intelligence briefings. Hope reinforcements arrive on time.
Balance your duty to HQ with the lives of the men under your command. Survive twenty days. That is all they ask. Perform well and gain influence to tilt conditions to your favor. Perform poorly and they take them back.
Deliver acceptable results and you may be ordered Over the Top. Survive the assault and you will be tasked with holding the captured trenches until replacements arrive. Fail, and you will be held responsible.
Over 60 missions ranging from routine trench duty to full assaults
Every Mission has at least 6 Outcomes
Over 120 mid mission events that shift outcomes in real time
Over 30 night events affecting squads, supplies, and trench conditions
Over 15 modifiers including morale, fatigue, weather, and enemy readiness
Randomly generated soldiers with unique names and birthplaces
Permanent death within your squads
Join missions personally for a leadership boost, but risk injury
HQ evaluations that determine your standing and whether you earn the chance to go Over the Top

I would like to see some new choices and situations develop or just continue on. I love the customization of soldiers. RIP Justin Bieber, Wade Boggs, Axle Rose and Stone Cold Steve Austin
The gameplay is IMHO really unique and well-executed for what it is And the atmosphere!! I love it! Every sound effect is so crisp, the distant sporadic gunfire is so good, and the UI with all the paper is amazing
Fun little game, replay value is there somewhat but it would be nice if there was a "Next Tour" button or something at the end of a successful campaign. Neat mechanics, not the most indepth but for what they charge even at full price totally acceptable. Nice little animations. Yknow what 10/10 buy at full price.

Their first jump into gaming and they nailed it quite well. this punishing, macabre, and simply delightful game is a unique style in a WW1 based story where you act as a Lt managing 4 squads. You see reports every day listing out each success and the benefits. Along with each failings and another name to carve into your table. It feels like it pulls no punches, hides no horror. Despite that there's no blood, no agonizing screams of death. Just text on a card and a simple understanding that you are the cause of whatever travesty happened. I rate this game a solid 8/10. It's engaging, replayable, and no two playthroughs are the exact same. Plus the added bonus of understanding the real distain you grow for a HQ that clearly gives no ####'s about you or your squads. Make sure you finish your Will and Testament, we're going over the top in 10 days.
I real enjoy the genre, and the feel of this game. I really liked the amount of nuance and detail in it.
Nice game. I enjoyed the demo, they went for a very descent price, and so I purchased on day one. Still rough around the edges and quite a bit "meaner" then in the demo. It still could use some more activities. Morale is such a huge problem, since its snowballs and disables your squads and you ahave not enough methods to restore morale, other then resting the troop, for a cost. handing out mail, getting more rations, getting entertainment for the troops, regulating disputes between them, finding thieves, etc. Some are available as a scripted event, but the results are unclear, and you lack ability to influence them. But there is definately a good game in here. Cozy grognard material.
Cute and enjoyable, but quite short. Beat the game on my second attempt and I felt like I saw most of the content after 2 hours. Left me wanting more, would love to see an expansion on this concept!
All for the Front
Not enough mustache maintenance QTE's other than that i feal like a true WW1 LT
The only management game I like. Many complain about the RNG, but I think it adds to the game's vibe; that it all can come crumbing down even if things are going well.
