I haven't played this game for long and that has a reason. Abyssus feels like a "oh everyone is doing rouge-lite shooters now, let's do it too, but with friends". Nothing about the system of the game, the gunplay or the enemies feels like something new, that would actually justify buying it. I've played tons of these shooters and usually I'm pretty entertained by just the basic formula. Even Sulfur was fun to me, though it had it's rough edges too. Abyssus, on the other hand, sadly feels like it's either nothing new and interesting or just rough edges. I'm sorry I have to be this harsh, but games like Gunfire Reborn perfectly show how a Rogue Lite shooter should feel like. The gunplay in GR is fun and the reload animations perfectly add a ton to the feeling of the weapons. Abyssus lacks this kinda feeling with the guns having basically no recoil and nothing really unique about them (at least the first few I saw, which were just normal guns). The movement also seems to be missing anything that would keep me playing. One of the more major problem in my opinion are the arenas and the general look of the game. It's pretty dark and the enemies have very similar colours to the environment around them. However, the game uses a system where some enemies get a red border, which is also visible through walls, to make them more visible. Which enemies get them is unknown to me, but the need to add this only shows that the devs also thought visibility was an issues. And it seems like this only got noticed very late in the games development (possibly even in playtesting stages). These small issues ultimately add up to a bunch which leads me to not being able to recommend this game for it's current price. I would advice the devs to either look further into what their competitors are doing right or maybe focus on another genre altogether with their next game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great roguelike shooter. Very fun to experiment with different weapon builds. Also very fun to play with friends.
It might actually be better than Gunfire Reborn. Well if it gets more content.
gud
Me and some friends were looking for a crossplay game to fill a night with and one friend on a whim said this game since he saw it on gamepass. We bought it and it was a very fun game. As someone who has played a fair amount of rougelikes this one is up there in enjoyment. The gameplay loop is very simple which is both a good and bad thing. It being simple makes it very easy to grasp and have fun but it also makes it feel very one dimensional after a while. What I mean by this is the overall lack of variability in the levels and enemies. The other issue is the late game scaling while looping. The addition of modifiers helps counteract this issue. The way the blessings work and how they're designed is a big upside of this game. The blessings being dedicated to one specific thing makes for very fun builds along side the weapons and their own variability. I understand this is a game made by an indie studio and has only been out for a year, so I understand why some of these issues are a thing. Nonetheless I had a lot of fun on this game and will continue to play and hope to see what they do to this game in the future. I highly recommend.
VERY FUN CAN GET STALE PRETTY EASY BUT THEN STARTED PLAYING WITH MY FRIENDS AND HAD A BLAST
Entlich ein spiel das ich einfach abschalten kann hat super vibe ;D
I never gave this game a proper review, Because I always felt like it was "too early to say", but now that we're years out from release, I feel I can give an honest review. I've only got about 40 hours in the game, but my problem was the game was simply too easy, Now I understand that this game was sort of balanced around a more casual experience and that's fine if it's what you want, but I expected harder content at some point, and as of now it seemingly never happened. Once you reach a certain point in the game you're basically a god, even on the hardest difficulty room wiping entire floors in 3-5 seconds for all enemies and bosses, and again if you're chasing a power fantasy then that's fine, but I prefer more challenging content like what I've come to expect from other titles. All in all this isn't a bad game I will never say that it is, but I feel for most roguelike and roguelite fans the linearity and lack of options for how you progress through the map will make it feel underwhelming, and as a result lose it's luster very quickly because the difficulty curve becomes significantly easier the longer you play, to the point where most builds will trivialize the entire game by Zone 2.
Good no nonsense fun.
