Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

I uninstalled the game when it asked for access to location services.. no reason for that to play single player.
I don't know. I love Total War games. This one though? It's hard to find something to love about it besides the setting. I'm a beginner at these games, and it just isn't fun to start a game and have 7 wars begin within 10 turns of the game starting. There aren't enough resources to compete to build fast enough to stop the tide of the attack. For me? This game just is not fun.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Better to play Total War: Troy than to watch Nolan's The Odyssey... There is a genuine love for Homer's Iliad and Odyssey woven throughout this game. It's depiction of the Mycenaean Greeks, the Trojans, their cultures, and Bronze Age warfare creates an immersive setting for one of history's most legendary conflicts. What I especially enjoy is the blend of history and mythology, you can seek the favor of the Olympian gods, tame legendary beasts, recruit mythical units, and decide the fate of Troy through larger-than-life campaigns. If mythology isn't your preference, Troy does allow you to opt for a more grounded, historical experience. Troy doesn't play like your conventional Total War games, similar to Rome II, Attila and other classics. It's complexity is rather extraordinary and rewarding, as it's system works similar to Pharoah (+ Dynasties). You just got to adapt and play it from a different angle. This game does not deserve the hate it gets, for it is truly an underrated Bronze Age game, set in the Aegean.
5/10 Overall. I've put hundreds (maybe over 1,000?) hours into Total War Warhammer 3, and wanted to try another Total War game so I bought Total War: TROY. It's... Goodish. Not amazing by any means. Compared to Warhammer 3, it's very very simplified in all aspects: factions, battlefield tactics, units, etc. If you want a simplified Total War Game - this might be a good purchase, but honestly... just get Total War Warhammer 3 as it dwarfs this game in all aspects, including fun and replayability.
After 60 hours I think it is a boring game, the map management is predictable, the artificial intelligence is not very intelligent, the development of the construction is easy, access to new units are not attractive at all. the battle mode is clumsy, I would even dare to say that the animations are very poorly finished in terms of physics. I have played several games of the saga and I think the best is Three kingdoms, then Attila and I would also put Britannia on the podium. But this one has been really disappointing.
The honest truth is that this game isn't very fun. The AI can attack all of your settlements without ever ending in turn within range of your armies. The only way to successfully play the game is to be so adept at battles that you can win even when outnumbered 2-1. There is no strategy involved. Just let your armies be attacked by superior forces and defeat them with your insane ability to click rapidly so that your armies are invincible.
all polish with zero substance whatsoever
better than pharoahs, worse than three kingdoms, nowhere near medieval2/empire, overall decent. pick it up on sale
I think i've given enough time for this game to pleasantly surprise me but it never did. There are a few cool ideas here and there, but it is a very lackluster experience in general. Hero dueling animations are cool, ancient Greece setting and Mythos is what interests me too. Art and decision to make skybox in a form of amphora painting is cool. Music, mix of traditional instruments with rock gives that 300 movie vibe. Resource barter and locking resources to regions is cool too. Aaaand that's about all the praise this game gets from me. All factions are looking and playing, for the most part the same, exception being Odysseus and Memnon(but he is a part of DLC). Game has an incredible amount of game breaking buggs with units being stuck and pathfinding in general is just horrible. I've reached the point where the game is somewhat enjoyable only because of installing mods and modding game myself.(which is outrageous). There's only one campaign shared by all factions. Honestly i could go on and on but i'll tell you this: If you want to play historical mode - play Rome 2. If you want to play "truth behind mythos" mode - play 3 Kingdoms with incredible political and friendship systems (which is yes, Asian setting but does this much better). And if you want to play "Mythological" mode - just play any Warhammer, it does everything better with X100 variety. In general, very disappointed that i bought this undercooked and stale cookie.
