A Caelo Ad Terram.
For centuries the Protectorate have been the stalwart defenders of humanity’s ventures through the Orion Arm, guarding against enemies foreign and domestic of the United Earth Spheres. As humanity’s galactic infrastructure teeters on the brink of collapse over a deficit of the resource “flux,” the Protectorate brings honed tactics and heavy firepower to bear. Field veteran commandos to deep strike enemy positions, or bring the heavy firepower of your mech divisions to break enemy lines.
Grow. Expand. Exterminate.
The Grell are a tide of highly evolved plant-like creatures that spawn sites of raw flux crystals through the galaxy, and humanity’s first contact with alien life. As external powers dive deeper into exploiting flux for faster than light travel, the once passive Grell have begun to flood across worlds, wiping out those who would threaten their biosphere. Expand your blooms by spreading the roots of your biomass across the battlefield, and rip apart your enemies with twisted evolutions from the acidic Harbinger to the rampaging Reaver.
Across a Million Worlds, We March.
The Legion of Truth are a fanatical empire from beyond the reaches of known space, devoted to their Emperor and a pantheon of god-like beings. Their armies crusade across the cosmos, bringing all in their path under the Idals, and purging those unwilling or unable to accept the voice. Drown your enemies with waves of expendable Thralls and Fanatics, and break your enemy under the treads of the titanic Terror Tank, a mobile fortress that can reconfigure with the tide of battle.
For Purpose. For Survival.
The Xol are civilization of autonomous robotic consciousness, brought to the brink of extinction by the dark crusade of the Legion. Though fiercely individualistic, they are united by one imperative: survival. As the tide of annihilation turns against them, the Xol will bring the most advanced robotics technology in the galaxy to bear, wield the accumulated genius of their society, and wipe out all who threaten their future.

Its a fun game, It isnt as polished as sc2 or other big competitors yet as its still in early access, I like the campaign And it absolutely has the potential in my eyes to become a dominant game
Okay starters ik 2.5 hours is absolutely nothing, but across AOE, SC, WC, Deserts of Kharak I have hundreds, and I've been looking for the game that carries the torch for the sci-fi genre, AOE 4 exists and with the proper tunes and enough Ram its the best RTS that comes to mind these days. That being said with Dawn of War IV coming soon I hope ZeroSpace devs bring their "A" game for the 1.0 release... That being aside this review is positive because so far this game is killing it for me. Streamlined user friendly combat is essential and it delivers. Any SC1/2 player would pick this game up and likely love it (minus the obvious nostalgia withdrawal) your going to really like this game. AOE fans might not, resource gathering is not the focus here, and honestly it works, but I could understand the possible turn away, but at that point just play AOE 4... the only real issue is the base building for defense could be brought to more of the forefront...

AVOID like the plague. The dialogue is flat, the characters are too. Outside of that the gameplay is beyond boring and repeative. It is like I am now just playing it to hate play it not cause I am happy. This is like if Starcraft and Candy Crush had a baby and it was as ugly as you can imagine!
I am not a fan of RTS games, but this was enjoyable for the time I've played. Outside of some stuttering during cutscenes, performance was perfect and I truly can't tell if friendly units like to get stuck on things and do nothing or I'm skill issued out of my mind. Either way, if you like RTS games then you'll enjoy this. Reminded me a lot of Halo Wars from back in the day.
Have had money's worth of fun already in the short period of time testing early access.
- Very alpha, bugs all around - Shafting poles on regional pricing(only 4 countries need to pay more for it, and those got ~4x higher wages)
Not gonna lie, the game is pretty raw RN. It's early access. UI is rough. There are bugs, sound hiccups, and ministutters now and then. I recommend it to co-op/wargame fans like me, or if you want to support the devs, because the game has potential. If you liked DoW: Dark Crusade, you'll like Galactic War mode. It's like the Helldivers 2 Galaxy map, but 3 player factions compete, and your actions are actually impactful. You can capture systems by playing co-op and gain bonuses. You can estimate how many games you need to play to tilt the scales. For example, you might snatch some fringe systems for your faction by playing 5 games. Co-op gameplay itself is exactly like SC2, but with more features. Secondary objectives are randomized and give you different bonuses. There are gear slots you can fill with upgradable bonuses. There are only 3 commanders RN. PvP is solid, not a big fan of PvP in general, but there are cool systems for a WC3 fan like me (mercs, heroes). There is also global research like in CoH. Campaign is fine, but it is still WiP, so I'd wait till they finish all cutscenes, ship hub area, etc. The idea of choices and different outcomes is neat. I liked it in WoL. There is a 12-mission human campaign RN. Gameplay is good. The game is responsive, there are cool QoL features like auto-control groups or drag-formations. All abilities of selected units are grouped together, so you don't need to TAB to switch between spellcasters. Units feel impactful, there is blood and bodies everywhere, and gunfire and explosions are loud. It's more or less like SC2, but with new features and less polished. Graphics are very good, models, textures, effects, and decals (like blood), are well-made. There are neat effects like grass folding under your units. Units look cool, there are flagship units that take a quarter of the screen, and shoot two screens away. I love this ♥♥♥♥. Music is fine, but it's not as memorable as SC1 or SC2. VA is mixed. Sometimes it's impressive, sometimes it's OK, sometimes it's a placeholder. Sound effects are good. Death sounds, gunfire, explosions, everything is fine. Sound mixing doesn't try to make love with your ears by making some sound effects 2x louder, but it could use some improvement. Sometimes sounds cut off, sometimes they are too quiet. Setting is fine, it's mostly Mass Effect, with sprinkles of SC and WH40k now and then. It's not super imaginative, but it has a faction of edge-lord Protoss just for me. It feels like I never stopped playing Alarak in co-op. Optimization is impressive for me, it even works pretty well on my backup 11y old PC with a 1060 and 5th-gen i5. I have only 2 problems with it: 1. Tiny lag spikes on spawning huge waves in co-op. 2. GPU gets pretty hot on ultra. Overall, the game is fine with the potential to become great. Usually I am pretty sceptical toward unfinished games, but it feels like these guys are really trying their best. If you wanna support the devs, buy it now. If you are after the polished experience, wait till the full release.
I want a middle thumb its needs some serious time in the oven. TLDR. Great concept and unit design, Campaign is painful, UI/ Tools need work. Pros -The concept -What it can be -Unit design Con -Cut scenes and talking to characters between missions is painful -The story kinda hurts so far and its pretty immature/ a bit too cliche. -Character models have some of the facial issues that are infamous. It wasn't as bad as some but its was just enough. -Galaxy map also needs some quality of life maybe a hut / tracker / some tools I have really high hopes for this game. Right now with its price point and the issues it has I just can't support it. If there is a suggestion to be made its to clean up the campaign maybe watch some highly rated war movies/ series/ Prior games that are adjacent. It's not so much what the characters say though that needs work but the delivery and tone.
