While visuals are neat, gameplay is pretty lacking. Feels like a slower super hexagon with adhd as the stages swap every 30 seconds without any real flow to it.
Zero Reflex features a simple concept which is fun and rewarding, although not completely engaging. In the 30 second duration of each level, the player must navigate a kite shaped cursor around its fixed circular track to avoid the various shapes and lines emitted by the central eye (the game's clear antagonist). After a level is passed, the player proceeds to the next, which uses a different design, both aesthetically and mechanically. This variation keeps the game interesting, and some of the designs are quite creative. For example, one of the levels use a sort of "spotlight" mechanic, outside of which the player cannot see where the shapes s/he must avoid are and where they're headed. Overall, I enjoyed this game, although I'd have to really be in the mood for something simple in order to play it again. This would be the perfect game for keeping your brain fully engaged while listening to an audiobook or podcast.

Decently fun for a little bit, beat the game on normal twice, but hard and above is too much for my weak mind. It can be real trippy.
Not bad if you like this type of games
Fun game for inbetween. Time mode, hardcore mode etc. keep you entertained for some time.
A nice little "Avoid-em-up" where all the player can do is move clockwise or counterclockwise around the evil eye, with the objective of surviving 30 seconds before moving on to the following stage. Each stage has different obstacles and bullets, often made deliberately harder to spot among background shapes, even more if you decide to take a trip with the Psychedelic Mode. It's very simple, and mistakes are severely punished: at first you can take three hits and are sent back one level if you fail, but further modes award less resistance and push back even more. While such a mechanic certainly helps getting better, it can also easily become very annoying with the more difficult stages, also because they are always played in random order so you can never know if you may be lucky to get some easier ones in the middle, or not. Screenshots absolutely can't give the visuals justice, it may look like just random shapes and colors in those stills but they are really elegant in motion. The snakes and clock stages are among my favourites but my absolute favourite is the one with six multi-jointed legs sprouting from the eye. I wish there were more "power-ups" than just the temporary shield and a green circle that, for the few seconds it expands before dissolving, nullifies the eye's bullets but more may have also damaged the extreme simplicity the game goes for. I also wish there were stages to unlock, or exclusive to certain difficulties, rather than just the ones we get right off the bat - of course they get faster, some extra hazards are added at higher difficulties, but there are never more than those 25. For some, the interest may not last long if you are not going for some 100% but it's also one of those games that are fun to play again from time to time.

You spin me right round ...
EYE SEE YOU
This game is an aboslute must play. Your nerves, reflexes and eyesight will be put to the test. The music is amazing, so are the levels and diffrent kind of mods - each one brings something new to the table. I personally really love the psychadelic one just uh.. don't be on anything. :D Pros: ✅ Amazing levels ✅ Music ✅ Lots of different modes ✅ Fun addictive gameplay Cons: ❌You will have to temper with resolution a bit to get Main Menu to work properly (at least I had to) but no biggie otherwise. Personal score: ★★★★★ 🏆 🤖Final words: The Eye will be going easy on you...but not for long. When it gets serious it'll leave you with black eye instead. Extra note: If this kind of rhythm game isn't for you then check my review of Frederic which is more akin to the Guitar Hero series.
