About

Brilliant, burnt-out, possibly cursed – you play as operant Hershel Wilk, alias CASCADE. Five years ago you led your team into the abyss and have been haunted by your failures ever since. Now you've been recalled for a mysterious assignment that may give you a chance to prove yourself again.

Uncover secrets hidden in the lost corners of the city and within your own mind. Navigate a murky world of potential informants and adversaries. Pass skill checks to uncover their true motivations through subterfuge, violence, or deduction. As an operant, there are multiple ways to approach every problem - your choices and methods will be your own, and so will the consequences.

Find yourself thrown into a three-way struggle for cultural and ideological power, played out across an unforgettable city. You'll go up against international bankers, foreign techno-fascists, psychic doppelgängers, a paranoid TV presenter, a man with a box for a heart, and dozens more. Everyone you meet has their own agendas, beliefs, and secrets for you to uncover and turn to your own ends. In ZERO PARADES, even the world itself is a character with its own secrets, traumas, and miracles for you to discover.

Operants subject themselves to years of psychological training to hone their minds into their greatest weapons. Do you favor animal-like reflexes, a philosophical approach, or a different cover story for every occasion? Through Conditioning, you'll turn the deepest aspects of Hershel's identity into potent abilities and unlock new paths forward. You can even change the rules of the game itself.

Pressures simulate the physical and psychological toll of being in-theatre. Exertion pushes dice rolls in your favour – just remember that you’re gambling with your life. Keep your Fatigue, Anxiety, and Delirium in check or deal with the long-term repercussions.

In this line of work you're going to fail way more often than you succeed. That much is expected of you. What matters is how you pick yourself back up. If the dice don't go your way (and they won't) you'll have to improvise and hope the consequences are ones you can live with.

Reviews
Pretty good

ZA/UM una sicurezza
游戏质量值得给一个好评,当然,如果zaum和极乐迪斯科没关系就更好了
Loved this game through and through just as much as Disco Elysium if not more! The vibes are super similar, but there's lots of things I think just happen to be way better. The gameplay is much much smoother, and the builds are crazy diverse and the roleplay for your Build-A-Spy is so neat! There wasn't a single skill I didn't want to not invest in. The map is the perfect size and fell in love with it at first glance! The colors mesh so well, and going through the story gives familiar places new context. Every person in this whacky cast of characters is memorable and subvert expectations! You can tell a lot of love and thought went into making each person their own with fascinating mysterious stories. Someone you may instantly mistrust may turn out to not be so bad with aligned interests, and vice versa. Consumables are more comfortable for me to go a bit more crazy with in this game, and helps manage tasks easier. The three micro-manage stats were super neat to juggle loved that it forced me to pay attention, and the option to exert and deal with an extra dose of those stats for an extra dice advantage when I decide to is such a neat choice! If you fail a white check it doesn't take a long time before you're able to try it again. The action sequences where you *lock in* & choose your actions in step-by-step visual-calculus slo-mo felt AMAZING & super impactful for your stats build - I wish there was more of those super-spy moments! I felt the inner-monologue narrator for the main character was so immersive and gritty, she really set the tone for a lot of the game and couldn't get enough! The plot had me leaning in my seat to see what came next and had some pretty awesome twists. Some choices you have to make in the game caused me to pause and genuinely consider my options going forward. Some of the cons I had were strictly my own personal shallow icks. One I'll mention is I would've liked to see a bit more trademark Tequila Sunset whimsy from failing checks. Don't get me wrong, there's lots of hilarious moments that genuinely had me rolling, but for the most part failing a check meant more chores. Overall it was a very memorable experience and worth paying full price or during a sale! It fully immersed me in a world I grew to really grow attached to until the end. I kinda sucked my first blind playthrough, and I'm fully prepped with knowledge now to go in for round 2 to see things I might've missed! Looking forward to the next release!
好玩,希望能多来点这样的游戏
I'll start strong and with info everyone is probably searching for. This is not Disco Elysium and its not a sequal. Disco was what i would call 'sad' and 'deep'. It was a dive into entrails of psyche of extremly damaged individual with murder investigation on the side and political theory on top. Zero parades is a search of forgivness, its a story of regret for past failures with spy stuff on the side and less politics but culture theory on top. Story wise, these are different games, with different perspective and style. As to the Zero parades. - Voice acting is great - Dialogs are great - Characters are interesting - Story is engaging Graphics and mechanics are same as in Disco, but theres some new stuff. The only thing that seems lacking are animations. Alot of times during dialogs charcters are frozen stiff while narrator explains what are the doing. I wont drag this on so... I thing Zero parades is a great game on its own. If I would have to compare it to Disco, which everyone will... yeah story is not that deep and main charcter is not as 'complex'. If Disco was 10/10 for you, Parades is gonna be 8/10. No matter if you played or did not play Disco, i thing you should buy the game. For those who dissagree... well you should just SPY HARDER.
I really enjoyed it! It’s a shame there’s no ukrainian localization, but I did my best with my English level. Can’t wait to play it again, try other choices and fully grasp all the plot twists.
Good spy story following in the footsteps of Disco Elysium.
I think the question is, how does it compare to Disco Elysium (a legend and amongst legends)? Zero Parades is strange, a lot of dark humour and generally interesting, but I feel like it "lacks" something that Disco Elysium had: it's hard to put my finger on it. The writing is good, the style of gameplay, etc, are all excellent, but it still doesn't have that touch. I feel like this game is "easier," for example, The gameplay is more linear and your stance on the socio-political system is less emphasized. Zero Parades is more of a "controlled flow" of story telling, rather than the complete chaos that was Disco. In a way, that's better, in a way, it's worse. Then again, i remember the first time I played Disco, i put it down after 10 minutes. Once I had more time to get into the game, I played it night and day until I finished it, I have a feeling that this game will be much the same. It's building up to something, that's for sure. In terms of gameplay and design, the two games are identical, the differences are in the writing and story building. So if you're looking for something like Disco Elysium, then this title will not disappoint.
