Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 31 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

You Shouldn't Be Here is a short psychedelic visual novel that takes place in a strange world filled with harrowing creatures. You’ll meet Dimitriv who is willing to keep you safe as long as you help him with something.
The story touches on topics such as mental health, exclusion, and various other existential questions.
The gritty pixel-art, together with the somewhat erratic and despairing soundtrack, intends to create a dreamlike, bordering on nightmarish, atmosphere.

In the shape of the infinite, I am one.
Swallowed by an ocean of bliss.
No choices to be made,
no stories to unfold,
no riddles to solve.
No, nothing at all…

You really shouldn’t be here..

This game taught me that angels allegedly lactate an urine-like substance which provides the consumer with supernatural protection against flesh-eating monsters and Shakesperean articulation and ???? It's weird and I loved it for it, this game masters sinister surreal ambience really well! The graphics and music are lovely and convey exactly what the story is going for. I was also pleasantly surprised at how clear and explicit the plot gets at the end, as generally this type of games tends to keep it enigmatic and vague all along. The writing sure suffers a bit from being "too complex for the sake of appearing deeper" but due to the nonsensial nature of the game it doesn't feel out of place and is thought-provoking regardless. Overall I liked it, the story feels real and complete, plus the presentation is captivating!
It's very short, and it's not really a game, in a sense that there are no meaningful choices. You are sometimes presented two options, but it does not seem to affect anything (much). It's more like a non-interactive text with quite well done artwork exploring the themes of existential dread, loneliness, depression and social exclusion. It certainly does have atmosphere, and it feels authentic, although it's not very original neither in its form nor message. Still, I am happy that games like this are created, in contrast to the soulless corporate cash siphons, I am happy to have played the game and I wish the author all the best.

This was one of the most depressing games I've ever played, maybe I shed a tear or two The atmosphere is so tense Every single word Dimitriv said crushed my heart and soul I felt so seen In a world that wants you conform it's hard to be yourself and feel alive and loved The music is nice as well, added a good portion of sadness (as if the game isn't sad enough), artwork also is stunning Play it and cry
really short, good and even relatable game about alienation from the exploitative nature of capitalist society in which "one must consume another to thrive".
We are all each-others.
liked the demo, bought the game. if you like getting philosophical discussions being vomited onto you and not much else, by all means.
This was some really great writing. Really depicted what addiction is like and made me shed a tear. The story has some really good poetry, as well as awesome graphics, and some spiritual themes, which I appreciate. It shows the warped perception of the world through the eyes of addiction. It is unfortunate what the things of this world can do to our minds, bodies, and souls.
There are games where it’s hard to talk about without spoiling. You shouldn’t be here is a short and fascinating narrative experience that made me question what it’s about for most of the game. It shows a dangerous loop of coping mechanisms. This mystery is not the core of it, but it kept me going. It left me with sympathy for people I personally can’t relate to; something we really need more of in times where people’s ego turns them into a cold and bitter entity.
