XCOM 2 is the sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the 2012 award-winning strategy game of the year. Earth has changed and is now under alien rule. Facing impossible odds you must rebuild XCOM, and ignite a global resistance to reclaim our world and save humanity.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 11/day in the week to Aug 14 → 18.29/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Xbox, GOG publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

I’ve never really been that into strategy games, and RTS games especially have never really been my thing, so I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy XCOM 2 as much as I did. The game is definitely difficult, especially when you’re still figuring out how everything works. One bad decision can completely screw up a mission, and watching one of your better soldiers get taken out because of a stupid mistake can be painful. There are definitely moments where the difficulty feels a little brutal, but once you start understanding the mechanics, positioning and how to manage your squad, it becomes really satisfying. What surprised me most was how much I enjoyed the turn-based combat. There’s actually a lot more depth to it than I expected, and I found myself getting properly invested in my squad and wanting to keep them alive. The progression, upgrading your base and developing your soldiers also gives you plenty to keep doing between missions. It isn't perfect though. I did run into a few bugs during my time playing, and there are some moments where things just don't seem to work quite how they should. The RNG can also be absolutely brutal at times. Missing a shot with a supposedly high percentage chance is enough to make you question every life decision that led you to that particular moment. Overall, though, I had a much better time with XCOM 2 than I expected. As someone who normally isn't into RTS or strategy games, this managed to pull me in and keep me playing. 7/10 Definitely worth giving a go, even if you're not normally a strategy game fan.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I like it.
Quite well done again. All awards were rightly earned. For some reason, the games after this one lack a certain... charm? Nostalgia? Prowess? Self-esteem...
Why did I even try? I should have known, that XCOM 2 would be as unfair as XCOM 1 / Enemy Unknown. Got already frustrated with the Tutorial and skipped it only to have one of my Chars get killed in the first mission. Killed my mood instantly. Hopefully Star Wars Zero Company will be waaayy better than this (I heard, on easy, your Chars can't get killed - hope that won't be just a mere rumor) As for XCOM 2... NEVER AGAIN, EVEN IF IT IS FREE
great game just freezes if you download the wrong mods
good fun

Absolutely incredible and you can mod it to do...pretty much anything you could possibly want. 10 years later it's still the absolute GOAT of the genre , we'll see if Zero Company can match it.
Да просто, потому, что это легенда, которая живет, был X-Com террор из глубины и не только, она стала культом, а XCOM 2, это не просто культ, это уже легенда, Это как Jagged Alliance, кто знает тот поймет)))
