Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.

A bit over 500 hours in the game, i have only started my second game xD Aspect that gets on my nerve the most, ist the slow base building speed, specially in the beginning... There were some nice mods for X3 that warped the parts in - yes highly unrealistical but a lot satisfying. But anyway, i can absolutely recommend the game. Exploring, Fighting, Economy/Trade is a fun thing to do here. Do yourself a favour and don't read a lot of guides first. Try to figure it out! If you can't progress, you can take a look online. And maybe, see your first playthrough as a test, which you wil probably restart after 50 hours in, because you know, it has scratched that itch, that you can make it better ;-) The story is there, it's not bad but it will not win an oscar. Though it does not catch you emotionally in any case even if you have to make decisions. Some caracters are funny. The races are there now, missed my boron friends a long time. The ships look a lot more like "their races" background should. In the beginning i found them more like a box-placeholder for a beta version xD Happy they got rid of a few of those ugly monsters not befitting their racial aestetic. So all in all - started as a 6/10, i think it is now a good 8/10 with the possiblity of a 9/10 depending on the further development. Oh yeah and graphic is good, nothing too fancy, but overall good also performance wise. I personally like the sound but then i also play most of the time my games with music on 50% or off. Not a fan of the german voices, changed my game to english therefore.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is in the best state it has ever been with the 9.0 release, lots of quality of life improvements, the best that combat between ships has ever felt. This game has a lot of moving parts for the uninitiated, and it can be counterintuitive sometimes, not everyone has the patience to get into this game. I am still learning new things even as many hours as I have in, only scratched the surface of the endgame content, I have yet to even build a shipyard. I feel like the DLCs are essential, but maybe pick them up during a Steam sale. The DLCs expand the game map and add variety even if you do not interact with the story content directly on a given playthrough. Kingdom End was my favorite hangout in previous games in the series, this game did not feel complete without the Boron. The DLCs interrelate sometimes, there is a Queen's Herald mission in Kingdom End to deliver water to the Riptide Rakers in Tides of Avarice, not sure if there is a different Herald mission if you do not have both DLCs active. You can do that mission in one trip with a Hyperion with a couple of small couriers in the hangar acting as "saddlebags" love that ship, unlocking it makes early game trivially easy. My first trip to Tidebreak is usually the Queen's Herald delivery mission. Hint for early game: Kill Xenon or go to a place where other people are killing Xenon, pick up the stuff they drop and turn it into hacking software at a crafting table, sell (don't get caught!). This is also an ideal way to find components to unlock the SETA, Xenon ships sometimes drop those. Also, the crafting table is your close friend generally, buy random components from station traders, combine to make better stuff, sell.
it would be extremely stupid to play 2000h then write like "oh, this game is actually bad", you can see it all in 100, someone even in 50hrs seriously - just read the reviews, it's much more fun than playing the game problem is - it does not meet expectations anyone would have for 8-years old space sim with 25 years of space sims background though there is definitely good parts like - amazing ships design, almost as good stations design - whole universe simulation happening in real time, no loading screens, and economy somewhat honest it falls in every in every lesser aspect making gameplay a pain
I don't think this game knows what it wants to be. You start out as a single ship. You can stay that way or you can start to build up a small trade empire and eventually become a major superpower. The problem is the systems aren't designed to enable the transition. It's a royal pain to set up logistics. They systems are not intuitive. And a lot of transportation ranges are limited by the manager skill. How this plays out: You do the terran start. The sol sector is very large. Start building solar station near Mercury that will produce charged batteries. Build mining stations in the Ort cloud. Now you need to ship batteries from mercury to the outer solar system. There is no simple way to tell a freighter to fill up at the Mercury station, go to the Ort Cloud Stations, unload, and repeat. There are work arounds. Another way to try it. Set up a supply station at the halfway point. Put a manager in charge to automate it. The station should automatically collect and distribute the assigned resources. But the range of the station is limited by the manager's skill level. They will not be able to automatically get resources from or distribute to either of those stations until they hit max level. It takes a long time for them to level up. Alternatively you can use "training seminars" to level them up. But they are relatively rare. They designed a progress system that might make sense for a small scale trader, set the game up so you could manage a superpower, but didn't think through how the systems would support that or the friction they would cause. There are work around and mods. But they're all overly complex and a PITA. It's just not fun once you get past the certain point. It's also not fun if you're looking for an empire builder/manager (like I was). They systems are all designed around the initial phases of the game and terribly inadequate for the later portions. It's the worst kind of friction.
Simply a Brilliant game
