As expected, everything works perfectly on Linux. Not as details as MSFS, but it runs smoother, everything loads quicker, and there is no account needed to play. It also works excellently with my Honeycomb hardware, and I look forward to seeing how well TrackIR works when I get it and set it up. Overall, XP12 is easy and comfortable to use.
Nachdem ich wegen schwerer Krankheit nicht mehr fliegen kann, habe ich angefangen, mich intensiver mit X-Plane zu beschäftigen. Die Grafik ist liebevoll gestaltet (auch für kleinere Grasplätze) und die Physik sehr realistisch. Ja, der MS Flugsimulator hat die bessere Grafik, aber aufgrund des Zwangs, sich mit einem X-Box Account einzuloggen (was bei mir gar nicht funktioniert hat) und des enormen Ressourcenverbrauchs, vollkommen indiskutabel. Ich habe mir einen Thrustmaster T. Flight Hotas One und ein paar Pedale dazu besorgt und fliege damit sehr gerne. Der ATC ist eine einzige Katastrophe, aber wenn er nicht macht, was er soll, ignoriere ich ihn einfach.

This game is much better than MSFS 2024, the optimization is incredible, not once did I get a lag spike.
It's x-plane, not for fun, but for practice lol
The graphics arn't as advanced as Microsoft Flight Sim but its a really good game for those looking for detailed machanics or linux compatibility.
Great game. Levelup 737, Aerogeniss A330 and X-Works mods are great, and XPME, AEP and SimHeven are must haves. The flight model is so much better than MSFS, Especialy with weather. Clouds and stuff look wayy better. I hope that they can get to MSFS's level with textures and 3d rendering, 10/10 Would play any day.
Been with xplane since xplane 10 and its hands down the best flight sim on the market. I hold a variety of licenses in real life and this is my recommendation to practice real life procedures. Even if you want to have fun and mess around, this lets you do it and simulate it close to the real thing. Ive tired MSFS and i prefer this over it. + it has mouse yoke unlike MSFS

Even with good Hardware and high settings the game looks awful. And in VR , which i play mostly, the framerate is abysmal, even with tuned down graphics, which look even more horrible again. Yes the flight dynamics are better than Msfs. But if you compare VR , MSFS is miles ahead, it is not even close. If you don't use VR, you don't care about graphics and prefer "realistic" flight dynamics, it's good For everyone else, don't buy it.
I really love X Plane 12 its the best flight Sim out there I love the graphics plus I love that it has realistic effects. I use this a lot for simulation training since I am working towards my pilots license.
