I've converted from MSFS2024--a game in which I flew hundreds of hours and spent hundreds of dollars in add-ons--because it just woke up one day and decided to stop running properly (severe stuttering and frame drops). Coming from that experience, there were some things I initially found frustrating with XP12, especially the ineptitude of the graphics engine to do antialiasing, but with persistence I figured out how to get the visuals to where I like them, and figured out a collection of add-ons that match, and in many ways surpass, my MSFS experience, for flying airliners. There is more attention to realism with the flight dynamics, and the game systems are generally just more flexible and open, you can do more things to customize your experience to taste. I'm fully converted, and only wish I hadn't wasted so much money in MSFS before figuring out how to optimize my XP12 experience. I don't know if my MSFS performance issues will ever resolve, but even if they do, I'll probably stick with XP12 as my simulator of choice.

This game has the most realistic looking plane models known to man. Msfs 2020 or 2024 dont have the same magic as looking at a cessna 172 in this game

Игра и вправду очень реалистичная! Что хочу добавить -- x plane 12 и вправду сложный авиасимулятор, так как на запуск одного самолета пока будешь разбираться в первый раз, может уйти 2 часа как минимум) Через череду полетов, неудач, и многого другого, хочу сказать... ПОКУПАЙТЕ ЭТОТ АВИАСИМУЛЯТОР!!! ОН И ВПРАВДУ СТОИТ СВОИХ ДЕНЕГ! Я ЛИЧНО КУПИЛ ЕГО БЕЗ СКИДКИ ЗА 1900 РУБЛЕЙ И Я ОБ ЭТОМ НЕ ПОЖАЛЕЛ. playing on cachyos and it works great, sees and works great at first with logitech wingman cordless freedom 2.4 then later the thrustmaster T.16000M. Steam likes to update as soon as as it comes out so be aware as that may break some things. also if you add mods or planes that are not "official" steam verification WILL overwrite all modded files other than that xplane works GREAT on linux
its a really good game i love it man but i wish they would add more planes i really dont feel like buying planes from 3rd party softwares thet are double the price of the game graphics need work i wish more stuff just came with the game theres still so much to work on but its a great game ill say this almost better than msfs
Very cool, better physics than microsoft flight sim, but not as pretty.
The numerous small improvements over X-Plane 11 altogether make this a far more immersive simulator. I only have a 1060, but I was surprised to find that (to my mind) it still runs perfectly acceptably in Linux.
Игра супер, потратил 2 часа на запуск боинг 737-800, вырулил на ВПП и начал взлёт. Игра крашнулась на тридцатой секунде. Ставлю 10 терпений из 10.
I chose this over Microsoft Flight Sim because it natively supports MacOS. I love this game! It plays well! It runs good on my PC 9800X3D and 5080 . It also runs great on my M5 Macbook Air with 32GB of RAM.
