World of Tanks is a tactical action game with very different gameplay depending on the vehicle type and role. Aside from regular PvP, there are competitive and clan-based modes, special PvE and PvPvE events, and much more. Whether you play to dominate or just enjoy the ride, you'll fit right in.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

About
World of Tanks offers something for everyone: Try different tactics, vehicles, and modes!
World of Tanks has a unique pace. Its armored vehicles are fast enough to draw you into the action, yet slow enough to give you time to think strategically. Good reflexes are always a plus, but it's smart and bold moves that can really turn the tide of a battle. Identify a weak spot in the enemy team's defense, move to an advantageous position at just the right moment, or ambush an opponent—and you'll feel like a champion.
The unique pace is yours to control: there are five vehicle types that each play very differently. Generally, light tanks rely on their speed and stealth, heavy tanks on their armor, and mediums on versatility. Tank destroyers (TDs) are feared damage dealers, and self-propelled guns (SPGs) hurl shells at enemies from afar, using an RTS-like view. Almost every one of the 800+ highly detailed vehicles, spread over 11 tiers and 11 nations, feels special.
Begin with classic tanks and progress toward mighty high-tier machines. Adjust their performance to better suit your unique playstyle with crew perks, equipment, and Field Modification. Top that off with visual customization: showcase each vehicle's unique flair with custom paints, styles, and a wealth of other options.
World of Tanks has received multiple and extensive upgrades to its graphics and physics since its launch in 2010. The maps feature unique landmarks and plenty of destructible objects. Vehicles get wet when in water, and they receive shell breaches from enemy rounds that penetrate, as well as pockmarks from rounds that bounce off. Guns and shell explosions have authentic, caliber-dependent sounds, and the acoustic environment is very rich, adding to immersion.
The basic mode is 15v15 Random Battles. Prominent regular modes include Onslaught (7v7 with extra special abilities), Frontline (30v30 on colossal maps with lots of tactical options such as airstrikes), and Steel Hunter (battle royale on mode-specific vehicles with field upgrades). On top of that, there are themed PvE and PvP events with unique rewards, clan-only Global Map and clan-based Strongholds, and more!
World of Tanks is hard to master but easy to learn and enjoyable from the get-go. As a rookie, learn the basics from the Bootcamp scenarios, face easier opponents in lower-tier battles, and complete the Tank Academy missions for appealing rewards. A seasoned tanker friend can get you into the Referral Program, bagging great benefits for both of you.

Don't get it. It may look flashy and fun but if you are just starting out its going to be the most frustating thing you can play. The matches are often just one sided stomps, older tanks got powercrept so hard they are basically useless and the garage interface got "improved" it has none of the information you would typically want to see. The other issue is ammo. You can chose the cheap "standard" ammo but it gets outperformed so hard by the supremely expensive "premium shells" that it is honestly quite baffling that they are still in the game. I have a hate relationship with this trash game... fml
Keeping this review civilized and non-biased was quite the challenge. The pros of this game is pretty obvious: The graphics are surprisingly good. The game runs smoothly on my computer. The servers are relatively stable. There are many tanks to research. The cons however pisses me off: RnG in this game is far too significant, I can have a Kv-2 with AP aimed at a weak spot and pen can be still difficult. Effective communication with your teammates can be annoying. The game has alot of P2W aspects. Some tanks are far better compared to others. The premium tanks are clearly "better" than the f2p ones HOW TF AM I SUPPOSED TO PLAY WHEN I GOT 2 ARTY SHOTS FIRED AT ME EVERY 20 SECONDS EACH DEALING 200 DAMG AND BREAKING MY TREADS Wargamming RARELY listens to the player base . These might my skill issue lol.

World of Tanks remains one of the most recognizable online military combat games thanks to its successful blend of strategic gameplay, authentic armored vehicles, and competitive multiplayer action. Developed and published by Wargaming Group Limited, this free-to-play title places players behind the controls of a massive selection of tanks inspired by real historical machines. Rather than focusing on nonstop shooting, the game emphasizes battlefield awareness, careful positioning, and coordinated teamwork. Every engagement rewards patience and tactical thinking, making each victory feel earned through planning instead of simply relying on quick reflexes. Whether commanding a heavily armored giant or a nimble scout, every decision on the battlefield can significantly influence the outcome of a match. The game's greatest strength lies in its enormous collection of more than 800 armored vehicles representing 11 different nations. Every tank class offers its own distinct role, ensuring that no two playstyles feel exactly alike. Light tanks excel at scouting enemy positions with their speed, medium tanks offer flexibility in both offense and defense, heavy tanks dominate the front lines with powerful armor, tank destroyers specialize in devastating long-range attacks, and self-propelled artillery supports allies from a distance. Each vehicle has its own strengths, weaknesses, armor profile, mobility, and firepower, encouraging players to experiment with different technologies and discover which combat style suits them best. Unlocking new vehicles and improving existing ones creates a satisfying sense of progression that keeps players invested over the long term. Combat is designed around tactical decision-making instead of reckless aggression. Maps feature varied terrain, urban environments, open fields, hills, and defensive positions that constantly influence the flow of battle. Understanding sightlines, hull positioning, camouflage mechanics, and enemy armor weak points becomes just as important as having accurate aim. Players who communicate effectively with teammates and coordinate attacks are often rewarded far more than those attempting to fight alone. This strategic foundation gives every battle its own unique rhythm, with matches frequently shifting momentum as both teams adapt to changing battlefield conditions. Beyond its standard random battles, World of Tanks provides numerous activities that extend its longevity. Players can participate in ranked competitions, clan warfare, cooperative PvE missions, and rotating seasonal events that introduce fresh objectives and exclusive rewards. Daily missions, progression systems, customization options, and collectible content provide additional incentives to continue playing. Frequent updates also introduce new vehicles, balance improvements, and gameplay adjustments that help keep the experience evolving. This steady flow of new content prevents the game from feeling stagnant and gives veteran players plenty of reasons to return while offering newcomers a constantly expanding battlefield to explore. Presentation is another area where the game continues to impress. The tanks are recreated with remarkable attention to detail, from their exterior designs to their animations and battle damage. Explosions carry satisfying impact, shell ricochets sound convincing, and environmental effects help create immersive firefights across a variety of locations. The maps balance visual quality with functional gameplay, allowing terrain and cover to become meaningful tactical elements instead of simple scenery. While the game is accessible enough for casual players, it still captures enough historical inspiration to appeal to military enthusiasts who appreciate authentic vehicle designs. Like many long-running free-to-play games, World of Tanks is not without drawbacks. Progressing toward higher-tier vehicles can require a considerable time investment, and premium options offer faster advancement for players willing to spend money. The steep learning curve may also discourage newcomers, as understanding armor mechanics, spotting systems, ammunition types, and vehicle roles takes practice. Nevertheless, players who invest the time to master these mechanics are rewarded with a deep and highly satisfying multiplayer experience that continues to evolve through ongoing developer support. World of Tanks stands out because it successfully transforms armored warfare into a thoughtful, team-oriented competition where strategy consistently outweighs brute force. Its impressive selection of tanks, diverse game modes, polished presentation, and long-term progression systems provide exceptional replay value for fans of tactical multiplayer games. Although its progression model may occasionally test players' patience, the depth of gameplay and consistent updates make it one of the strongest and most enduring online vehicle combat titles available today. Кал дерьма... Если ты зашел в это надолго — считай, что ты калоед.
Sure, it's a "free" game. But unless you are prepared to spend loads of money on tanks, it's fun up to the point you're never on a winning team. Even with the upgrades you can earn in game, my shots don't penetrate, and every vehicle I have earned is dead in 3-4 shots. It's about as bad as COD's matchmaking.
好玩,坦克设计还算还原,至少挂比隔壁sb战雷少,不过为什么亚洲人怎么少?
