Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.29/day in the week to Aug 18 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I have played this both on PC and Steamdeck and have had no issues. I have been looking for some good Spook’em ups for October. This was a unique game for me, I have never played something quite like this but I enjoyed my time with it. This is a text based choose your own adventure style game. There are role playing style stats that affect the damage you do or certain outcomes of random encounters. There are multiple stories ranging from mysterious Ramen shops, suspicious town festivals, haunted online message boards and other worldly phone calls. Each story has multiple outcomes but sometimes they are hard to get or rely entirely on what timeline you are in. I have not seen all the stories but enjoyed the ones I did get but found I would often get the same ending. Throughout my playthroughs I was reminded of Junji Ito’s books without the game feeling like rip off or copy. Just like Junji Ito books I found the game left me feeling uneasy with a few scares. There is a game mode that shows to be coming soon but with no recent updates I’m not confident it will, but the game still feels complete. I recommend looking at other reviews to make your own discussion but I recommend this game on sale.

This game is incredible, I love it.
extremely fun and interesting homage to junji ito and japanese horror in a point & click roguelike format. suits the aesthetic very well. game is very engaging, great sprites, great music, great tropes...unfortunately: the issue is that the developer hasn't been in contact on steam in over a year and hasn't been updating the game, despite sounding genuinely enthusiastic about the project in the 1.0 note he wrote when bringing the game out of Early Access. there are unfinished game modes and the game is so damn good but it could clearly be expanded so much more if he just decided to finish working on it. i don't really get the vibe that this an issue of someone scamming, there is too much thought and care put into the playable parts of the game that exist, and the dev sounded too excited about his project. i'm normally a cynic but especially with a niche game like this i suspect he might have a personal reason for not finishing working on it that we don't know about. well, it's unknown whether the dev will ever come back, or what has happened to him (maybe one of the curses of the elder gods got him) but i still highly recommend getting this, even in its unfinsihed state-- you can still have a really enjoyable experience and get your money's worth if you are a fan of traditional japanese horror and turnbased roguelike RPGs. it's just a pity that it might not have more than what it contains, even though it contains enough to have given me some joy and fun. BTW, i recommend checking out the workshop if you buy this game. some modders have made extra scenes (events) that can occur randomly, as well as adding custom characters to the game (including some familiar faces straight FROM junji ito's univerese....) i really like it, i just wish the dev wasn't dead/disappeared/depressed and not working on the game for whatever reason he might not be. it's clearly a creation by someone who genuinely loves this style of horror and isn't just looking to make money off a trend. update: in october 2025 which was like 9 months after i wrote this review they just announced there will be some free updates, content, patches etc "coming soon". on the other hand this was accompanied by a ton of merchandise for the game which while cool and all, feels so more like making chasing the bag than anything else. WDYM you are selling merch for your unfinished game you haven't updated in a year and a half? i mean, maybe they need the money, maybe even need it to work on game content, IDK. it just feels kind of weird to not get the game updated first, THEN commit to merchandise afterwards. that seems less distasteful to me-- maybe it's just me? i still look forward to the alleged upcoming updates. still keeping my review as a positive vote tho, i do really like this game.
This game is really solid: Its art style is brilliant, the horror style is exactly how I like it, and the soundtrack is something I find myself sitting back and listening to. With respect to horror and art, consider Franken Fran, Junji Ito, and a touch of Cosmic Horror; this game takes all of that together. The battles feel absolutely amazing, the sprites are designed for that interface and can feel almost life-like at times. The game is very confident in its cocktail of gore: It will not desperately try to jumpscare you, but guide you through its abominous world. It's something you can kind of just swamp yourself in and enjoy. The tutorials are really nice, albeit a bit awkward to switch on and off; the game really wants you to enjoy it, even with its sheer density. For something some have called unfinished, it's quite deep. Why, them, do I agree with them? Well, despite the replayability, some mechanics feel half-baked. I do not feel very incentivised to use the spells, defensive skills, nor spiritual skills in combat. They're quite neat, but I feel like I'm goaded into forcing weapon-based attacks to hit to get anywhere. It feels like everything gets solved by them in the bulk of the fights, which gets pretty boring after you've got used to the art style. There are also times where, despite the game's commendable efforts to guide the player, it still sort of leaves you with a "what do I actually do" sort of situation. I will nevertheless recommend it: The effort that has gone into this is far beyond most Steam games, let alone games in general, and it absolutely qualifies as a work of art. It just needs ever so slightly more to be the GOTY contender it absolutely could have been a long time ago.
This is what turn based combat games should strive to be, fun game
